   Love eating here. Allison, the chef, is amazing! We always sit at the bar and watch “the show”. The owner always makes us feel very welcome. Great place!

   Excellent, creative entrees. We had scallops and Chilean sea bass. The scallops were perfectly cooked and served with a unique and delicious side of shaved asparagus and exotic mushrooms. The sea bass was bathed in a sesame-rich broth and accompanied by mild, almost neutral seafood dumplings. The Caesar salad with white Spanish anchovies was exceptionally good; light, fresh and full of crunch and flavor but not too salty. The wines by the glass were quite pricey, but the selections thoughtful and the pours generous Service was friendly and efficient. While busy and full on a Saturday night, the dining room was comfortable and noise levels were acceptable. White and Wood charges premium prices but also delivers a premium experience. That's a fair trade.

   Love this restaurant and was proud to introduce to an of town friend. Shared mushrooms, brussel sprouts and salmon. Each of us had a glass of wine. Food excellent. Service a bit slow, but our waiter was also acting bartender and my friend and I loved the time to catch up. Dinner for two took approx 2.5h and cost $120 without tip.

   I travel a bit and was impressed with Greensboro’s little spot. But I didn’t like was that the waiter brought us $40 glasses of wine without mentioning it. There should be a mention, particularly to the person paying the check. We are also interrupted in the middle of a fairly important conversation to hear the waiter describe the food. Yes, it’s important to some people but if I’m in the middle of a sentence, I prefer they wait on me.

   Wonderful experience. Great food, friendly helpful staff. Attentive staff but not overly intrusive. The entire staff was caring and ensuring we had a great dinner.

   White and Wood is always our go to choice for a nice dinner out. The food and level of service never disappoint. I love the that I can always find something new and interesting on the menu.

    Roasted hazelnuts! Who knew? Sea bass “soup” was incredible, and the perfect choice for my bride who was chilled to the bone by the weather. Scallops (six!) were delectable as well, and while we generally ask for our Brussels sprouts to be super crispy, the salad with bacon, dried berries and a delicious vinaigrette was excellent without any crisp to the sprouts. Olive oil cake was different, and the blueberry and hazelnut accompaniment left our palates quite satisfied. Share a three-course and add an app or another entree for two, you won’t be disappointed!
