Renowned British filmmaker Guy Ritchie partners with The Lodge at Blue Sky to open a second installation of his outpost restaurant, WildKitchen, which is featured in the Netflix hit series The Gentlemen. Perched atop a scenic peak with sweeping views of the Wasatch Mountain Range and Rockport Reservoir, this epicurean experience redefines the notion of a “bush kitchen.” Guests will experience a nightly set menu that is earthy yet elevated, where Chef and guests interact through cuisine inspired by the bounties of Gracie's Farm and locally sourced proteins. Savor the bold flavors of open fire cooking, where each course is touched by smoke and flame. The menu will be delightfully complemented by flights of Guy Ritchie's beer, Gritchie Brew, along with featured wine pairings and signature cocktails.

The weather was cold and rainy, so instead of working against the elements, the Wild Kitchen staff decided to recreate the Wild Kitchen experience for us in a cozy, private dining room. Harrison and Angel took good care of us from the beginning to the end of an amazing experience tasting the local Utah fare and pairing it with beautifully selected wines. Our chef, Dan, gave us detailed information about every course, each thoughtfully prepared. The experience was enhanced by dining companions from different walks of life, and we enjoyed sharing an intimate dinner with strangers with whom we found common ground on hallowed ground that sustains us all rain or shine.

Absolutely loved this experience! Once you arrive at the Wildkitchen the view is amazing. The set up has a ‘Yellowstone’ feel. The Chef is top notch and the service is impeccable. Bring a date or a group however seating is everything 😉

Beautiful setting, however, the only time we used the table grill was for the vegetable course. Unfortunately, most people let theirs burn to a crisp and it smelled awful, didn’t help there was no platter provided for the cooked vegetables (unless you wanted to pile them all on your personal plate.) What a waste of an experience, waste of beautiful produce, and a waste of a unique table. That said, the prepared courses were delicious, but the overall experience fell short.

This was expensive, but we felt that, for the entire experience, it was worth it. The food and service were really great and the Wild Kitchen experience - meeting others at your communal table, grilling your food to your desired doneness, the lovely patio - was worth the price. One comment I have is the two long sides of the table have wildly different views - one side (luckily, we had been assigned to this side!) has a beautiful long view overlooking a reservoir and the setting sun. The other side looks at, basically, scraped dirt and a dirt pile where they’ve cleared vegetation for the fire safety perimeter. When you arrive, each place has a stone with the last name of your party on it. I was happy we had been assigned to the “good” side of the table. During appetizers, which are served out on the patio, someone switched our name stones to the other side. When I went to sit down and noticed this, I switched them back and was having none of that! So, this is good to know. If I were to go back, I would insist our party be on the “good” side, or it wouldn’t be worth it (to me). Some folks might be happy either way. Obviously, the rest of the experience is great regardless, but I would have felt shorted had I been seated on the non-view side. It’s a very cool experience - not just a dinner. Everyone there was in a celebratory mood, which made the whole evening very enjoyable and special.

A totally unique experience! Must do in Park City in the summer. Expensive but one of a kind experience.
