   We went to wildlight for valentine’s day and it was great! I love the vibe of the restaurant, the service was very attentive and the food was amazing! we had the four course valentine menu and we were full by the end of it. Very worth it and it is affordable!

   Came here for Valentine’s Day! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They had the knowledge to describe and break down each of our dishes! Brandon was always helpful and striked a great conversation! Sous Chef Tim made the night even better by coming out to greet us when there was time. Definitely felt valued and welcomed! Will definitely come back again!

   Went with a friend to an event at UBC and headed to Wildlight for happy hour (3-5pm) prior to the event. We arrived at 4:15, restaurant is bright and beautifully designed. We were greeted, seated and served by Damian, who was exceptionally kind and attentive. The food was well-priced and delicious. Definitely plan to come again in the future.

   Came here for dine out at the start of dinner service - a few tables so noise level wasn’t too loud. We came for dine out menu to celebrate a birthday - overall the experience was ok Decor - was lovely, felt homey and warm Food - think it missed the mark for us. Sablefish chowder was ok, like other reviews - was filled with seafood but the quality was off. The soup base was thin, tad heavy on the salt and was like any basic chowder? Nothing too special. Had the mushroom risotto, asked it to be light on the salt - but o boy, it was salty…but otherwise well done, texture was just right. For dessert, got the chocolate cake - again, nothing special. Was like a chocolate cake? For some reason I thought the quality would have been better, more decadent? My kid had their linguine - hard pass on this if I had the choice to choose again. Imagine, $8 for pasta quality you would normally get from a boxed grocery store…but it was al dente though? Not sure kids would know the difference but at least adults sharing would appreciate this Service - server was very nice. The kitchen/? Management was not very accommodating to diner limitations on food selection unfortunately. The service was also incredibly slow for only a few tables who had already started their dinner service by the time we ordered. Maybe just a short staffed night? Overall - I would say, check it out if you’re in the area but I would not make the trip into UBC just to try it out. If you have toddlers/young kids, probably just keep it as a date night and skip the young ones (just not a lot of kid friendly options and heavy handed on the salt)

   This was my first time to Wildlight and I will definitely be back. I was there for dine out and the food and wine pairings were excellent. I would also recommend the Chefs Choice cocktail The service was great and personable

   AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! Very good size portion for Dining Out Vancouver. Very creative, flavors are very unique, service was great! Cannot say enough good things about the food. Definitely deserve the Michelin star

    Dine out menu was fantastic! I had warm Root vegetable salad for a starter and it was delicious, for main I had mushroom risotto and it was a large portion and so so creamy and flavourful, ended with lemon Chocolate cake for desert and it was yummy. I’ll be back!
