At night for chic carnivorous gatherings, Windsor Grill on St Leonard's Road is a swanky little restaurant owned and run by Chef David Wilby. With its elegant interior and unpretentious British grill menu, this discreet restaurant is loved by locals and visitors from out of town alike, and the dining room is decorated with slate-coloured walls, gilt-framed paintings and leather seating giving it an atmosphere of dark glamour. Windsor Grill's menu is prepared with fresh ingredients, sourcing their aged beef from Surrey Farms, Iberico pork from Spain and Wagyu beef from Australia.

So sad to see our favourite restaurant in Windsor close. We had our last meal there on Saturday. Happy retirement, David.

Everything about our dinner experience was excellent. Booked it for our anniversary and we were not disappointed. Excellent food, wonderful staff and brilliant background music. Overall a wonderful experience and would very highly recommend the Windsor Grill.

A wonderful restaurant with the friendliest staff I've encountered for a very long time. The meat was amazing and cooked to perfection, by far the best steak I've ever had in Berkshire and maybe all of the UK. The atmosphere and decor is nice and cosy. It's an independent restaurant with staff that really cares. I went for my birthday but will definitely go again, many times! If you like meat, I can't think of a better place to go.

Best steak in Windsor. I’ve been coming to this restaurant for many years, for family celebrations as well as with work colleagues. It’s always been great, with excellent service and fantastic steak meals. Having moved away I was back in the area and decided to go again. It brought back many happy memories and I found the same excellent service and perfectly grilled steaks as before. It’s reliably great and good value too.

Booked this for my partner's 60th birthday. Our starters were very tasty and well presented. We both had steaks for our main which were cooked to perfection and again very tasty. We ordered the mini desserts to share and when it came to the table it was accompanied by a candle and the team singing happy birthday which was lovely and nice surprise. It was a little on the pricey side but for a special occasion it was well worth it.

We came to Windsor for a weekend break.Had a lovely meal at the Windsor Grill. Was a delicious cooked. Lovely staff and not hurried between courses. The night was part of my birthday celebration’s had a beautiful plate of puddings with Happy Birthday piped on! a lovely surprise Would definitely recommend this restaurant
