Wanted to try out Wye Oak Tavern so went for out anniversary dinner. Overall experience was good and really enjoyed the food (it is meat focused). We sat at the bar for a cocktail as we arrived a few minutes early. Bartenders were great as they spotted us, greeted us, could describe drinks, and attentive. The restaurant wasn't full and regardless is gets very loud. Two things I would note; 1.) we marked on our reservation that this was a special occasion but there was no mention of that by staff (as does happen with most restaurants0, and 2.) ordered a decent bottle of wine however the bottle brought to the table (2022) did not match the year on the menu (2019) and most restaurants will note that before corking and pouring. This is a relatively new place so I expect they will work out the small kinks.

A splurge but worth it in my opinion. Everyone in our party of four liked what they had. Oysters and prime rib were special favorites. Appetizers were a little slow to come out but after that service was very proper.

The venue is interesting. Service was very slow. They forgot my starter although they eventually delivered it and did take it off the check. My husband‘s salmon dish was lukewarm. The noise level is very high. The dining room is packed, but the service and food seemed to be suffering some growing pains.

Overpriced and the food was mediocre. Find someplace else to go.

Excellent meal, beautiful location. A little too loud inside. Will definitely come back but maybe earlier in the evening before it’s too crowded.

Service was excellent! Food was delicious! Cocktails were on the small side but the Yacht Rock was delicious. We will return but due to cost, it won’t be a monthly visit.

Reservation took 15 minutes to be seated, but no big deal. Staff were very pleasant and the drinks were good and decor fabulous. That’s where the good review ends. Menu very disappointing, additionally very limited choices for gluten options. Appetizer indicates the word “sharing” as if there is an abundance of food. Don’t be fooled, enough for one person maybe two depending on what you order. My partner got the burger which was so greasy, I got a steak which had absolutely nothing with it. Literally meat on a plate. With a price tag to make you think it’s a five star restaurant. Which it is not. Then there is the noise level. Impossible to hear anyone, and the layout is not well planned. Should just be a bar and dancing and forget the “dining experience” My recommendation. Go for a drink and then get five guys!! Your wallet will thank me.
