YABA, The third dimension of Iraqi cuisine
At YABA by Chef Shaheen Restaurant, we serve Iraqi cuisine in a non-traditional way and a modern vision created by Chef Shaheen, the architect who used engineering in cooking to give it a new dimension. We chose Dubai - The City of Opportunities - to be the start of our project to serve our Iraqi modern food to the world, because of its human and cultural diversity.
When you visit YABA, you will recognize the civilizations and history of Iraq, through our Iraqi dishes and the
restaurant design which was inspired by the cuneiform language, the first written language in the world.
In YABA, we have a trained staff from different cultures, and employees who can serve you the best experience in tasting our modern Iraqi dishes.

Great evening with delicious and flavourful food. Service was friendly and relax however the serve was not 100% knowledgeable about the menu. Set menu was delicious, portions more than generous. Great to see the chef was in his restaurant and interacting with his guests.

No toilet at the restaurant itself made me give less points when it comes to ambience. Food quality and quantity was perfect but I didn’t the desserts were not to the point.

The appetizer shows three peices of koba but they deliver only two pieces and when I asked they said because it is within offer🥵 and they put me in Awkward situation with my visitors

The food was perfect, I rarely have good food like this at restaurants. Each dish seemed well prepared and planned out. Favourite dish was Quzi. Prices were fair and suitable for the food’s quality.

I went to Dubai for vacation and went to fancy restaurants but Yaba restaurant was really the best full taste. Always forward

Outstanding - loved the experience. Have recommended to all my friends to give it a go! Glad they participated in Dubai Restaurant Week - as I got to try their set menu and I would definitely go back. Loved the menu illustrations and food was amazing. Only gave it a 4/5 as I wasn't a fan of the desserts :( Can't wait to go back!
