   So much potential, but failed. We waited two hours for our meal. Staff were unapologetic. Some of our food was very good - others were below average. The fire alarm went off. Lots of people were complaining. When we asked for discount for the inconvenience, they came back with a higher price! The whole experience was disappointing.

   I’ve never posted a restaurant review before so you can imagine how memorable the dining experience was > food was boring/bland, some entrees never arrived, despite reminders, mocktail mixes weren’t stocked, mains portions were tiny, terrible ventilation at the back of the restaurant (which was right next to the toilet), communication between waitress (who didn’t speak English) and kitchen was comical, and to top it off, we got charged with things we didn’t order. Spoke to one of the waiters about the experience, who admitted, everything at the restaurant was a disaster. So much potential and just a terrible waste and disappointment. Go, literally, anywhere else!

   We appreciate if was Xmas night but the whole experience was poor. The food was fine but it came inalm the wrong order the staff were stressed and the music too loud too speak. Bilmcame before we even finished so overall not what we expected We realise if wa difficult for staff but to have starters after main course and sone on the table on mains some/starters not good Fisallointed as we wanted a nice eve for Xmas

   The food here is decent but the service is a little lacking. There was a problem with one of my sides so they took it away but never replaced it. It also took half an hour for a drink order to come . Maybe this place would better on a quite night because they obviously did not have enough staff to give good service on this occasion

   There were 7 choices on the menu unavailable - there was not much left to choose from. The focaccia was dry, the charred cabbage was old and bitter and inedible, the scallops were the size of a 5cent piece. Minimal staff who were not attentive. Very disappointed. Will not be returning.

   I know this restaurant has just had a total overhaul of management and staff and what a difference. Located in the heart of Coogee Bay road is this Jem Everything is locally sourced farm to table and cooked on the open fire the $15 margaritas are to die for!

   Guys working there were lovely but overall was terrible. The wine we wanted wasn’t available, steak wasn’t available, food overcooked, cocktail took 45 min and were disorganised. Not the staff fault but overall terrible

   Nice decor with good atmosphere and nice food. Service was only okay with new untrained staff but that can be overcome.

    Worst dining experience in a while! We booked a reservation to try the tomahawk as advertised by Yana as the main offering. When we arrived we were not told this was sold out until we went to order. From here it only got worse as we ordered our entree and main and were told 25 minutes later that they had no tuna for our entree. Instead we ordered the beef skewers which took another 15 minutes to arrive and then a further 45 minutes for our sirloin steaks! We were here a total 2.5 hours for our sitting just waiting for our food to arrive in which it was all delayed and arrived out of order, our potatoes arrived well before our mains, even the chef had to ask us what we ordered to double check. I would like to give credit to the wait staff who were amazing throughout our booking providing us with updates and their apologies, but we blame the management and systems for the poor experiences. The management offered a discount but not by much. To save yourself time and money, I don’t recommend this restaurant. If you are looking for good steak - go to La Spiaggia next door!
