As the 4AM Crew—a run team from Atlanta, GA—we were greeted with warmth, style, and an energy that matched our own. ✨ Red carpet treatment? Absolutely. General Manager Lenita Mincey welcomed us with open arms and delivered VIP service that made us feel celebrated. We were ushered into a beautifully prepared private area—complete with glowing neon ice cubes in wine glasses and handwritten, motivational neon messages for each guest, signed by the incredible Christine, our server for the night. Her attention to detail and kindness elevated the experience from great to unforgettable. 🥂 The evening kicked off with champagne toasts, laughter, and anticipation. But let’s talk soul food—because Yardbird does not play around. Their skillet cornbread? Divine. The rest of the menu was just as impressive, and trust me, we tried everything we could. We came in for a late dinner and were greeted by a stylish, rustic-chic atmosphere — think farmhouse meets city lounge. It’s buzzing but not too loud, perfect for conversation. Now the food: the Chicken ‘n’ Watermelon ‘n’ Waffles is as over-the-top as it sounds and absolutely worth the hype. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and crispy, the waffles light and savory, and the watermelon with a little spice adds a surprisingly addictive twist. We also tried the Deviled Eggs and the Lobster Mac & Cheese — rich, flavorful, and generously portioned. Drinks were a highlight — their Old Fashioned is bourbon-forward and balanced, and the Blackberry Bourbon Lemonade was fresh with just the right kick. I forgot I had eaten at Yardbird before and couldn’t remember why I hadn’t gone back. Once I got my food realized why. My short rib wasn’t tender, I had to use a knife to cut it. Macaroni and cheese was not good, I left it on the table. Prices are also extremely high, you can get better soul food at many other places for cheaper prices (where sides are included). I would go back again, but only for the biscuits which were phenomenal.
