Yeon sushi is a close 7 minute walk to The Wiltern theater. We saw a show there so decided to eat sushi and then walk to the show from there. The food is good - super fresh sushi and the chef takes great care in preparing each dish. The service was good and the ambiance is fine. It is located in a little strip mall so nothing special but it is clean and nice. The menu is fairly limited but the fish is very fresh (no fishy smells) and the chef was really good. I would come back for the food.

A fantastic neighborhood sushi spot. The food is fresh and delicious. Our server was very attentive. Pricing is very reasonable. We will definitely be back.

Extraordinary service and very fresh food! We had the omakase experience and was blown away by how unique and fresh the fish were. Everything was absolutely remarkable.

I dined here on a Friday night and the place was packed and really busy but the server and the chef were very attentive and friendly. The server seated me at the bar and I got the 10 pc nigiri set. The sushi chef was busy so he served me one nigiri at a time but I learned that this is so much better because then you can eat each nigiri at its optimal temperature and flavor. It was a completely different experience and I highly recommend that if you are seated at the bar that you ask the sushi chef to serve you one nigiri at a time. There may be some wait time for your food to be served but I would rather wait for good thoughtful food than be served some hastily made half-hearted dishes. 10/10 food and experience. Would 100 dine again at Yeon.

Booked an omakase, which was fairly on the high end pricing wise, at almost $200 a person pretax pretip where the other food items are $20 or less. Upon entering, service was essentially nonexistent. The restaurant seemed confused and disorganized. At the bare minimum, an omakase should have an explanation, description, or even the name of food item being served. This did not happen. I received a follow up from the restaurant owner, manager, or an individual related to the restaurant but after replying, radio silence.
