When Tony and his wife Cyndi founded Ynot in 1993, the decision was made to put Tony’s name on every location and box of food they prepared (YNOT is TONY spelled backwards – a throwback to his childhood nickname). Using Tony’s name was their testament to the relentless commitment they have to high quality, hand-crafted food.

When Tony’s brother Harry joined the company, their shared childhood experience of cooking alongside their Italian parents and grandparents unveiled not only their love of good food and authentic Italian flavors, but also time spent with family around the dinner table.

I love Y Not for their customized chopped salad, and I love the selection of fresh items to choose from. I chose double shrimp (not to be chopped) for my salad this time. I was surprised to see five shrimp when my salad arrived - wondering if 2 1/2 shrimp is a single order??? After asking, the waiter brought a plate with six additional shrimp to correct the mistake. The salad is always enough for two meals, so it's well worth it.

The Ynot Mother's Day email showed: ...we'll be offering a complimentary carnation and mini-cannoli for all the mothers in attendance! I received the complimentary carnation - thank you, but there was no mention of, nor did I receive a mini-canoli.

The server was great and polite that is why I gave this place 2 stars. We order sangria, Caesar salad, colossal meatball, eggplant parm and a few slices of pizza. There pizza is good but everything else was horrible. The dressing on the Caesar was a vinaigrette and not the traditional Caesar dressing we asked for. The eggplant parm and spaghetti pasta it came with tasted like low quality cafeteria food. The portions were huge which I think they do to compensate how bad the food taste. We would not come back. The sangria tasted like half syrup and half red wine, not a traditional sangria. The texture was thick for a sangria and it felt like I was drinking syrup.
