   This was my second special occasion family dinner there - - and it didn't disappoint. Everything was indeed special - - the service, the drinks and yes especially the food. We went the "explorer" menu route which we highly recommend for a group so you can try so many more dishes. From appetizers to desserts all were delicious and created quite a buzz at our table. As my wife said, "my taste buds were dancing all night long."

   Lovely, imaginative bento box for lunch on New Year’s to be sure we got our noodles. Loved the variety, wide range of vegan options, and deliciousness of everything.

   Food was delicious and generous portions! Highly recommend little pot and braised beef noodles, all bao buns and dumplings! Great service, warm and efficient. Will be back.

   We got to return to Yunnan by Potomac Noodle House to celebrate my partners birthday. Food is always fresh and great quality and the variety allows us to try many different dishes (with plenty to bring home). We always appreciate the kindness and knowledge of everyone.

   They were out of multiple items (Duck, Lamb, Beer, etc.) on a Friday night. This is unacceptable! The restaurant requests a credit card hold in the event that you cancel and they will charge $20 per person if you do. They however have no problem having a large portion of their menu not available. I have been to the restaurant several times and was always impressed. That is why I chose this restaurant for a birthday dinner. Definitely not a special occasion with this type of treatment! I sensed something was not right from the start when the waiter tried to steer us to certain dishes on the menu. They spent more time telling us they were moving and hoped to see us at the new location. I will not drive an extra 10 miles to get to the new location with this type of treatment. Poor treatment has cost them a long time customer. In today's economy performance such as this can doom a restaurant.

   This is still our favorite place to have lunch in Alexandria. The bento box option is wonderfully tasty and filling. The service is always attentive - we had Noah helping us this time. It’s a shame Yunnan is leaving Alexandria, but we’ll be visiting their future location in Pentagon City.

    We always find Yunnan to be a unique and special experience. The food is delicious, and we can never decide which of our many favorite dishes to order - except we always have our favorite appetizers, the wood ear mushrooms and Little-4 cucumbers.
