The food was fine however, the service was horrible. Last Sunday we came in with friends and we asked to split the check for 2 parties. The servant says that you don’t do it in this restaurant.. We have been there many times before and split checks with friends, she wasn’t nice about it at all. My experience this time was that the waitress was completely careless and got a 20% tip, but I don't think she deserves it. I have learned that the first 3 times before the service was great happen to be all males.

Food quality has gone down and service. Staff was way overworked when I mentioned something to the manager he dismissed it saying it’s a busy time of year.

Service was abysmal. Not at all our usual experience. Our server never said one word to us-just nodded to take order. We had to flag down someone else to find our drinks after more than 30 minutes. First rounds of food came before drinks. We are thinking he was stoned? Food as good as always but we will think twice about returning, which makes us sad.

The service started out slow however was made up for with great food and conversation. The food was absolutely fantastic! The Sommelier was great and recommended a nice Greek white wine that paired well with our tasting menu. The restaurant is very drafty and cold. Members of our group had to wear their coats throughout dinner.

Thank you for a great dining experience! I brought my mom who has been thinking about your pita bread and Brussels sprouts since she first dined at Zaytinya DC 8 years ago. Every bite of food was delicious and put smiles on our faces.
