   Afternoon tea was esthetically nice but everything had been refrigerated so nothing tasted freshly made like it used to back in the day. Can’t justify the steep price for this level of quality.

   A lovely holiday tea in a beautiful setting! The staff were warm and welcoming and the ambiance was perfect for spending time with a friend over holiday tea.

   We started this tradition four years ago when we bailed on a Christmas dinner party that no longer interested us and decided to have an afternoon tea experience… We still have bubbly amazing food lots of laughs, and amazing service. Highly recommend the shadow Laurie/Zoe’s for Christmas high tea.!

   I am a relative regular at Zoe's - I enjoy going there with friends 3 to 4 times per year. So, when I heard it was reopening post-renovations, I was very excited to check it out with my friends for a Christmas dinner! The renovations are stunning! The food was good. However the service was exceedingly slow. So slow that we finsihed our meals before we could order some wine... So slow, that we feared being locked into our parking (which closed at midnight)... we arrived at 19h30... anyway, although the meal was good, I cannot say I will return because the service was very problematic. In addition, we had a party that was allergic to cow and soy protein. She asked the server if the vegan chocolate tart contained soy products. The server said he would check. In the meantime another server came to give the table their desserts (except for the allergic party). We asked this secind server whether the chocoloate tart contained soy, he responded "no", but that they were out of stock unfortunately... 5 minutes later, our original server returns with our drinks, but informs the allergic party that there is soy in the chocolate tart... deceiving us to the fact that they were actually out of stock... anyway, below average service, which is problematic for such an institution. Good thing the renovations were nice and that the food was delicious.

   Great food, but service needs to be better coordinated. Ordered a bottle of wine from the cellar. It was the wrong year than advertised in the menu. Server simply gave me a take it or leave it reply. Didn’t offer to provide suggestions for a different bottle. Had to get the server to come over to get drinks; wasn’t attentive. Moreover, when we ordered the appetizer two minutes later, the mains showed up. Unbelievably not coordinated. Doubtful whether they actually replated the meal or just kept it warm. For a high-end restaurant with very good food you would think that the coordination of the food, kitchen and server would be much more superior given the price tag attached.

    Christmas high tea is a wonderful tradition. The food was great and the staff very friendly. We took our 5yr old twins for the first time and although they were well behaved I think I’ll hold off bringing them again until they are a bit older and can appreciate the food more for the price. They were also very well received by the staff. Over all the price is a bit much for the experience but it was a lovely afternoon with the family.
