Excellent meal and atmosphere. If you are going by boat or dinghy note that the NPS has closed the dock and beach for entering Zozos. . You risk a fine if you tie up to the dock. Zozo’s doesn’t let you know this on their site when you make the reservation.

We had a lovely dining experience at Zozo’s on the top deck overlooking Caneel Bay. It was peaceful, food was fantastic, and the service was wonderful!

Our experience was nothing short of outstanding! John the owner is so welcoming and personable, our server was also incredible. I had gone to Zozo's before the hurricane and was so sad it was gone, but it is back and better than ever. Thank you so much for the amazing meal and making us feel so welcome. We will be back for sure!!!

I rarely leave reviews, but felt compelled to here. This was NOT worth the money. My husband and I went because we honeymooned at Caneel and loved our meal at Zozo's back then. For the price, this was just not good enough. There were components we enjoyed -- the pasta zozona (sp?) was delicious. The tuna entree was fantastic. But my husband's filet was both overcooked (he requested medium rare, it came out definitively medium) and absolutely smothered in unnecessary sauce. In our opinion, a filet cut of beef doesn't need a sauce -- that's why you pay the premium price for it. If you insist on adding sauce, it had better ADD to and not distract from that cut. Lastly, the desserts we selected (guava tart and pavlova) were disappointing. I don't say this to brag, but I am a French-trained pastry chef and I didn't enjoy either dish. The pavlova was so over-baked so as to turn to sugary styrofoam and loaded with an overwhelming brick of chocolate something (mousse?) then an almost tasteless curd (mango?) then surrounded by passionfruit sauce and whole, candied pistachio nuts. Every component was fighting violently to be the star, which meant none of them were. The guava tart was more cream than guava and just meh. With the base price, plus the mark up for the filet (eye roll), a cocktail, and two glasses of wine, our bill was more than four hundos. We have and will gladly pay for an excellent meal. And if that's what you want while you're visiting STJ, go to Extra Virgin (whose prices are just as high but actually prepare premium meals to match). Sadly, our time at Caneel is in the past and we'll have to subsist on the memories of what was. Lastly, no one needed to encourage me to stay any longer (we were reminded that"the table is yours for the night" over and over and over again) in their uncomfortable chairs. The service was fine, the view is unmatched, and the food is just a disappointment.

We came to Zozo’s for our wedding reception, and everything about our experience was excellent - the food was incredible, the service impeccable (our waitress chased after us when we forgot our bride and groom champagne glasses), and the evening unforgettable. Having the table for ourselves for the evening made our experience even more special.

Very disappointed in our experience. The food was not to the level we would of expected. The owner seems to gravitate to people he knows. At one point the owner and 2 waitstaff were drinking wine at a table despite several customers in the restaurant. A commotion occurred between 2 tables where the owner asked one group to apologize or leave. He referenced that park rangers will come with guns to remove them which elevated the situation. We also had to wait for a shuttle in order to leave. Once we left on the shuttle, we had to return to pick up a few of the owners friends which knew we were leaving. Too many good restaurants on the island to choose. We travel to St John a good bit and plan to continue to do so. We will not be eating this establishment.
