Going through different iterations over 40 years in the TriBeCa area—formerly known as Zutto Japanese American Pub, now the second location is at 384 Broome Street. Which continue the love and respect for both American and Japanese culture and cuisine have gone untouched.

This place was very busy! I’m very pleased we made reservations. That said, the food was fine, but not special. I also didn’t like being rushed out of the table, which the server did seconds after we paid the bill.

A very solid and reliable neighborhood Japanese restaurant with full range of sushi plus ramen plus cooked entrees. One of the few Japanese restaurants that has two of our family's favorites: chicken katsu curry and poké bowls. Also has ample seating compared with most sushi places. Quality is very good for a neighborhood place, (though tiny Mikaku on Kenmare has better quality for sushi and cooked entrees (no katsu curry or poke bowls there)).

Service took a long time, when it seemed very obvious we were waiting to order. The food was pretty solid all around, and the drinks (margaritas were really good). Overall solid spot, just need to get better at checking in on tables waiting even for the first request of grabbing a drink/appetizer.
