Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: Hector Marquez

From the OpenTable editors: For a quintessentially Texan cowboy meal, head to one of Fort Worth’s most iconic restaurants. Hearty Tex-Mex plates include chicken-fried steak with cracked-pepper cream gravy and tacos stuffed with caramelised bananas and chocolate ‘gravy’. A pitch-perfect wine list focused on small producers makes every meal here feel like a special occasion.

We recently celebrated my wife’s birthday at Reata Restaurant, and it was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with just the right touch of elegance to make the occasion special. We started with the Shrimp and Grits, which were absolutely divine. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the creamy, flavorful grits were the ideal complement. It was a fantastic way to begin our meal. For the main course, we tried the Chef’s Featured Pretzel Burger, and it did not disappoint. The burger was juicy and flavorful, with the pretzel bun adding a unique and delightful texture. It was both hearty and delicious—a creative twist on a classic dish. To top it all off, we indulged in their ice cream for dessert, which was the perfect sweet ending. The flavors were rich and creamy, and it was just the right portion to satisfy our sweet tooth without feeling too heavy. The service throughout the evening was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right for our celebration. Reata Restaurant exceeded our expectations and made my wife’s birthday dinner a truly memorable experience. We can’t wait to return and explore more of their incredible menu. Highly recommend for special occasions or just a great night out!

We enjoyed our dinner at Reata. We had the surf and turf special and Buffalo ribeye. All were cooked perfectly. Dessert was good had the apple tamale. Wish there was more game on the menu. Will come back.

Hostess was very friendly and helpful with my 93 year old mother. Server was initially on his game, but then disappeared for long periods of time. Wine arrived after the entrees. Food was delicious. A good evening overall.

Reata is a one of a kind dining experience. If your visiting Ft. Worth from outside of Texas there is no better place to have a real "Texas" dinner than Reata.
