Great experience from beginning to end. Service was spectacular and food was delicious. Had the pleasure of celebrating my one year wedding anniversary here and our dessert was covered.

Overall, my party enjoyed our experience here and would come back again. Service: Serviceable. Despite being booked to the rafters, the wait staff were still fairly attentive and timely. The only thing I didn't like was that I made a reservation in advance and noted we had an evening show at the Ahmanson. Yet, when we arrived for our reservation, our table was not ready and we had to wait. We barely made it on time to our show despite having a dinner reservation 2 hour and 45 minutes ahead of show time. I do appreciate that they didn't rush us though. Ambience: The space is beautiful. I appreciate that they left the roof open as the night went on. It did get chilly so I would recommend folks bring outerwear. Food: I loved the presentation and how they timed the food coming out. The items they do well are first in class, but there are also some really hard misses. Absolute favorites: The pork chop is likely the best I've had anywhere. All the individual components of the dish are executed perfectly and they come together to make a perfectly balanced dish as well (the creaminess of the polenta, the acidity from the greens, the perfect level of char on the pork chop while still maintaining a tender center). The strawberry galette was described by my friend as capturing the essence of what a strawberry is. The galette itself was lovely. Least favorites: The carbonara was salty, sour, and disappointing and the gemelli was undercooked (not al dente, but hard inside). The salads were unbalanced. The beet salad was too acidic and uninteresting (but the better of the two). The avocado salad was too heavily dressed in blue cheese and the bacon was unappetizing. The chawanmushi was incoherent. While beautiful, it doesn't taste very good. Everything else was solid. We enjoyed the brussel sprouts, broccolini, branzino, scallops, both hamachi dishes, and sea bass. Wine and cocktails were also solid.

Fabulous food and service. Loved the crudo and bucatini as 1st courses...pork chop excellent, with greens, pear and nuts. Rich hot coffee and gallette for dessert...so yummy. Perfect temperature for each course. Super attentive service and wonderfully friendly servers, hosts and staff. Easy valet.

A confirmed reservation for standard seating was carelessly overlooked when the manager insisted the reservation was under lounge seating—even with clear proof under my Opentable email couldn’t change that stance. While the misstep in seating compromised the start of my evening, the excellence of the food managed to salvage the night. Thus, with mixed feelings, I leave a three-star review as a reminder that even a promising dining experience can be diminished by a failure to honor simple commitments.

I'm so happy this restaurant exists. Such charming, creative decor/styling offering a nice, intimate dining experience in the lounge and the restaurant. The dishes are very delicious and flavorful. The service is warm, welcoming, and attentive. Our server Gregorio was wonderful and he always seemed to appear at the table at just the right time. He made our meal even more perfect with perfect suggestions and impeccable timing.
