- CChristyVIPHouston •53 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe really enjoyed this place with friends. The food was very good and the service was outstanding. We appreciate that Paco is always present in his restaurants. This was our first time here but we have been to Vargas a few times. We will return to Rudy and Paco again. Their crab bisque was wonderful.More infoRudy & Paco Restaurant & BarPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Galveston•4.9
- FF BruceLondon •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe love to dress up for this restaurant but this time there were more casual dinners than in the past. As usual, the restaurant was very clean and crisp with table cloths and professional waiters. The food was exceptional from appetizers to salads to entrees to desserts, fresh and expertly prepared and presented. My wife is medically gluten free and we were very pleased to find numerous gluten free options available. The service was excellent with a knowledgeable and experienced waiter. - PPeggyHouston •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe started my birthday dinner with our fabulous server Sara bringing us bacon wrapped shrimp and empanadas from the happy hour menu and tuna nachos from the regular menu for all 5 of us to share. All the food was DELICIOUS!! We then moved to dinner and we had scallops, the filet, tuna tacos and a crab cake...all I can say is WOW!! Everyone loved their meal!! Scallops and steak perfectly cooked and seasoned. Then we finished with crème brûlée for my birthday treat!! Such a fun evening and lastly the cocktails/drinks were also amazing! Thank you Hearsay for making my birthday extra special!!More infoHearsay on The Strand - GalvestonPrice: Moderate• American• Galveston•4.6
- KKatySan Antonio •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoKatie's is always a must stop dinner place for us when we come to Galveston. At our most recent visit, the food and service was beyond compare. Temporary food restrictions meant I thought I was not going to be able to enjoy my most favorite dish - their caldo. Erin, Veronica, and the chef set to work coming up with creative and tasty solutions that produced a caldo that I could enjoy. Their kindness and commitment to excellent customer service was exceptional.More infoKatie's Seafood HousePrice: Expensive• Seafood• Galveston•4.7

Discover Galveston
This popular Gulf Coast town of Galveston is a solid choice for great seafood. This island city features innovative offerings such as entrees of sautéed shrimp and Andouille sausage prepared with cheesy grits and topped with an in-house Creole sauce alongside freshly cut asparagus. Elsewhere on the island, enjoy a regional favorite, cornmeal-fried catfish. The fish is dredged in a home-made fine cornmeal and lightly fried. It is then served with sides of truffle fries, au gratin potatoes or creamed spinach. Gumbo is another local favorite. Order a spicy bowl of shrimp, chicken or sausage, simmering in a crab broth and topped with a ball of steamed white rice. With Mexican, Italian, pub cuisine and casual dining all present, Galveston has something for every appetite.
