- RRichardVIPPhiladelphia County •61 reviews4.0Dined on 15 Dec 2024To be clear, I’m a big fan of the Bedford Springs resort, but the upscale dining options there have always felt…underwhelming. I dined on a Saturday night in the Crystal Room. I like the way the Crystal room presents, with simple, but classic decor right in the heart of the hotel. But the menu is very conservative and rather limited, and quite expensive, so it can’t help but be a little disappointing. My partner had the salmon and I had the pork medallions: both were good, solid, well prepared, and flavorful. Our server was very nice, attentive and charming. Our food came out in a very timely fashion. I’ll dine there again I’m sure, and my guess is that when I do I will again wish the prices matched the overall experience a bit better.More infoCrystal Dining Room at Bedford SpringsPrice: Very Expensive• American• Bedford•4.6
Discover Bedford
Bedford is the home of the National Coverlet Museum, which is housed in a building built in 1859. Downtown Bedford is also home to the Pitt Theatre, Pennsylvania’s oldest operating movie theater. The community offers sports bars, wine tasting, and taverns, where you could try a locally made ale and pair it with a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, beer-battered onion rings, or buffalo chicken wings. At several bistros, you can try vegan wraps that are filled with ingredients like mushrooms, spinach, red onions, cabbage, and carrots. The local tuna melt served on ciabatta bread is equally delicious. For an elegant dinner for two, visit one of the community's upscale Italian restaurants and order a plate of tagliatelle al sugo di lepre or gnocchi di ricotta dressed in butter.
