Cal's service was spot on despite the fact that he was quite busy, and we loved having attention from Rita, the host. Please let Rainbird know about their great staff. The food was exactly what we wanted and was prepared with obvious care.More infoRainbirdPrice: Expensive• Californian• Merced•4.8

Discover Los Banos
The name “Los Banos” means “the baths,” and this area is famous for being a Native American hunting ground in the 18th century. It is also a diverse city that features many types of food served in cozy bistros. Continental cuisine is a favorite, with meals like Cobb salad, hot pastrami with melted provolone and chicken Marsala with mushrooms. Californian beach cafes offer delicacies like goat cheese and roast lamb with roasted red bell peppers and basil pesto or a salmon filet grilled over oak with a Dijon and herb vinaigrette over fresh local vegetable greens. For something a little more exotic, you can try vegetable tempura, hibachi calamari, yakitori or kintai sushi rolls from at one of the several Japanese sushi restaurants in the Los Banos area.
