   Very overpriced, long delays in service and food on what seemed like a quiet night, tasty appetizers but very underwhelming mains. The polenta was not very flavorful, and the surf and turf plate was a miss. Undercooked potatoes, bitter salad dressing and a very basic steak sauce did not complement an under seasoned and slightly overcooked cut of wagyu. Ambience was lovely with a pianist and the fireworks from waikiki beach were visible from our table, but I couldn’t recommend it for the price.

   Breakfast at The Terrace is a just awesome, great selection of choices - Kurobuta Pork Benedict is a favorite, and the views are just stunning. Can get a little busy so reservations are recommended. Waiting Team is welcoming and helpful.

   Seriously, I love this place. I keep coming back, since La Vie days. Solid food, service, ambiance… try the caviar flight!

   The restaurant contacted me shortly after I made the reservation on the app to ask about allergies and preferences. When we arrived, our table was ready for us and two of the wait-staff welcomed us separately and confirmed allergies. They also knew what we were celebrating which added to making us feel welcome. Dan was our server and was very friendly and attentive. He answered all our questions and made oyster and dessert recommendations, and gave us a tip on a nearby hike. The food was very good. The best we’ve had while in Honolulu. And the open-air setting with an amazing night view and the live piano music put it over the top. A great experience all the way around. Recommend highly.

   The food was pretty good, but presentation was a little off. For example, there was no napkin or small plate to manage the blinis and caviar. The hard boiled egg went everywhere ( maybe sliced not crumbled would work better)! The beet salad was delicious, but served in a small bowl so it was spilling out everywhere! Making it very difficult to eat. And, the chicken and foi gras dish looked like a rather grey unappetizing blancmange, and was not really that good The waiting staff were a little all over the shop in terms of skills and knowledge. It was extremely off putting to have one particular server reaching across in front of me. They should have been trained better than that. While it was a pleasant atmosphere, it was ruined by the two drunk people screeching at the next end table. Obviously, that is out of the hands of the restaurant, but it did spoil the carefully crafted ambiance. It was however a nice evening all in all, and pretty good value all things considered.

    Amazing French cuisine with a modern twist. We stated with a glass of Dom Perignon and Taittinger ‘comtes de Champagne.’ My wife and I started with a fruits de mer course. The caviar and oysters were delightful. Then we moved on to Maui venizen tartare and crispy frogs legs Provencale. For the second course, she had the smoked Kona kanpachi and enjoyed the A5 Japanese waygu beef with a wonderful bordelaise. For the dessert course, we shared an order of the gateau ispahan and Basque cheesecake. We paired the food with a bottle of 2020 Von Winning, “Forster Kirchenstuck” Riesling from Pfalz, Germany. Terrific vintage and wine. The service was exceptional - knowledgeable and attentive.
