The Amberwood prides itself not only on its excellent food and wine choices, but on its traditional local pub atmosphere, serving award winning Hall & Woodhouse Real Ales and fine wines.
Offering traditional home cooked food, either in the restaurant with full table service with a capacity of 80 covers, or in the comfortable and welcoming bar, both with easy level access. We are dog friendly in the bar area where we offer all menu options.

Regularly changing Special Boards include fresh fish dishes, our Classic Al-a-Carte Menu and a traditional (and very popular) Sunday roast. Also available Monday – Friday the 2-Course Lunch Menu or Monday - Thursday 2-Course Dinner Menu or create your own favourite with the Pick’n’Mix Snack Menu
We welcome all types of function, from buffets to formal meals, for family gatherings, or business meetings, and our catering staff will be pleased to discuss your requirements.

There was live music which was good ,we were far enough away for it not to impede our conversation. Food was good and good value, we felt the service was a little slow, but waitresses were very pleasant.

Had a lovely evening. Pleasant staff, very good service, nice surroundings. Only minor criticism salad with main meal was small and hardly any meringue in the meringue sundae but the rest of the food was excellent. Well worth a visit.

The meal was to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary and it served us well. Easy to book, and later to confirm, on line. No waiting to be shown to our table, to be given menus and to take our drink requirements. It was a busy Friday evening but we didn't have too long to be served. There was a good choice of food, some dishes a little pricey compared to other pub restaurants, but the enjoyment of our meals didn't make this a concern. It was delicious! Service was excellent too and the stall were friendly and approachable. we shall dine there again
