   Legal Seafoods has jumped the shark. For an entire generation, my wife and I have considered Legals - a venerable Boston institution - to be a gold-standard safe bet for a pleasant evening out with consistently good food. Sadly, those days are clearly over. A year ago, we took beloved family to the Legal Harborside outlet for a special holiday evening out, and were, frankly, mildly disappointed in the menu and several of our dishes, but we were willing to chalk it up to a bad night. Nope. Tonight we made reservations at the Park Square location, and were looking forward to a good meal and solid service for a quiet night out. We went 0 for 2. The service was borderline surly from the hostess to our young male server (one had the sense they're nice young people who simply haven't been trained in the basics of hospitality. Shame on you, Legal). And the food? Deeply mediocre. My wife ordered grilled salmon, with some specific instructions (rare, with crisped skin, something that she LEARNED to love at Legal)... It was rare, but not remotely crisp. To be fair, she said it was flavorful, if not exactly what she asked for. I went with the "angry" fish and chips. Angry? Hardly. Mildly vexed at best. Bland, slightly mushy flavorless white fish, with a thin, flavorless crust, on a bed of bland, slightly soggy fries. Really disappointing. It gives me no pleasure to write this, as we've enjoyed Legal dozens of times over the years, but we're officially done. You can find much better options all around Boston.

   We loved Martin, our server, and enjoyed celebrating his birthday with him. I wasn’t hungry. My friends ordered the trout and loved it, ordered the muscles and loved those, and also loved the tuna tartar. We had a great evening. Thank you so much!

   I had dinner at this restaurant, and overall, it was a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and I was served by a very polite waiter who made the experience even better. The service was incredibly fast, which I really appreciated. However, the place was a bit noisy, and I personally prefer quieter restaurants. But if you're looking for great food and quick service, this is a fantastic choice

   Food was very good except for one dish that came out lukewarm. Lots of inter staff chatter and not enough guest focus. Training of staff is needed.

   Lobster Mac n Cheese had two small pieces of Lobster meat and it was cold. Manager took it off the bill and gave us A free desert, But it did come with an attitude.

   As a solo diner, I’ve received poor service at several restaurants. Tonight at Legal Seafood was different! The service was friendly and attentive. I was put at a bad table and ignored. I had a lobster roll and it was gigantic! And delicious, with lots of lobster. It was quite expensive but I enjoyed every bite!

   Myshelle was our server and she was fantastic! Staff was super friendly and they served Guinness Zero (Yay!) My wife ordered the baked Haddock which was outstanding. I ordered the whole belly class which were a disappointment as they were left in the fryolator just a little too long. Chocolate Pudding Cake for dessert which was to die for however they had no coffee which I totally don't get. Overall it was good but not much to do to get it to great.

    We were a party of six and we had an excellent server. She was there for everything we needed and then some. It is Christmas time and the restaurant failed to have any type of decorations so we could celebrate the holiday season with a little festive mode. The only thing that was missing was that I had put in for a birthday for two of the party guest, and that was overlooked by the OpenTable app.
