While the food was delicious, the service wasn’t the best at all as there was only one server for many tables. They have you pour your own water and add an auto grat. (20%) 😒

It started out pleasant and well lighted. Then, at around 7 p.m. (on a Wednesday) the lights dimmed, there were disco-style lights in use and the music got loud. I don’t get why they tried to create a club atmosphere in a restaurant without a dance floor. The food was great and the margarita was really good. But, the loud music you had to yell over to be heard was definitely a detractor for me.

I got the nachos and The cheese should be like a melted cheese that shredded cheese melted is not appealing can be done with more love and it needed some cilantro just mediocre the drinks were light as well I was on five and still feeling like nothing lol

Perhaps we ordered the wrong food, but I wasn’t impressed. Edible but not great. Certainly large portions. I had gone hoping for a nice meal and it’s really more of a bar scene.

The aesthetic is either very novel and refreshing or completely jarring depending on your preferences. For me personally, while it was refreshing, it didn’t feel cozy or relaxing at all. As for everything else, it was just… okay. The food wasn’t anything to write home about and the music was incredibly loud. Good luck trying to have an intelligible conversation with your party. However, the service was incredibly welcoming! When i initially got there, it seemed like there was an issue on their side regarding the reservation and yet they still accommodated me and my party no problem. Furthermore, we were seated by the speakers initially and without requesting for it, one of the servers generously moved us away when extra seating became available. If anything come for the service and vibes if you’re in the area. Drinks were sweet.

This place is deafening on the weekends, and it is hard to hear your friends at the table. Service is fast, as is the food though. The prices for everything are super affordable!

There should be a warning that this ‘dining experience’ includes blaring music that is explicit & not at all conducive to an uplifting experience. Definitely not for children.

My party of 8 on Valentine’s Day was seated upstairs which was a fabulous experience! Much quieter so we could chat and we had our fabulous server,Daniel who took such great care of us, was simply charming and upbeat and helped make our experience amazing - along with the fabulous cuisine, drinks and flan!

While the food at El Coco was very good, the music was so loud that you could barely hear when talking with the person next to you. My husband had to wear ear plugs for fear of getting a migraine headache- so much for a nice dinner out.
