    Thursdays from 8PM - 11PM Sempre Oggi welcomes David Kastin, who has been a DJ in New York for over 30 years, for a curated set from his personal record collection. I bought my first record in 1975. It was Aerosmith’s debut album. Ever since then I have had a love affair with vinyl. It all started with early 70’s rock, then into the late 70’s I was collecting disco ala Studio 54. Next was punk/post punk new wave and my collection grew significantly. In the late 80’s I discovered an old school NYC dance party DJed by none other than David Mancuso called The Loft and it changed my life. The Loft exposed me to so much music, one could hear almost anything from disco to funk, soul, house and rock and post punk it was so eclectic and inspiring

    The restaurant was very busy last night. It was good to see a relatively new restaurant in the neighborhood attracting a larger crowd. As a result, it was a little noisier than usual, but not distracting. Beverages arrived quickly, as did our food. The focaccia appetizer is soooo good! My husband only eats one thing when he comes…..the veal Milanese. It is a very large portion and always cooked perfectly. I try a fresh pasta every visit and last night had the spaghetti shrimp scampi.

    Service was absolute perfection. Delayed by Holiday traffic, our table was held for us. Setting and ambience warm and welcoming. Food! Ricotta appetizer with a touch of honey, delish. Halibut cooked perfectly, literally melted in our mouths and the veal chop another winner. Try the tiramisu for dessert. Our new favorite UWS restaurant.

    We have had dinner at Sempre Oggi several times, and it never disappoints. What a great addition to the UWS....portions are large enough to share and we love the focaccia, whipped ricotta, all the pastas, and the halibut and chicken are always delicious. The entire staff and the vibe is terrific, warm and inviting.

    Very limited menu that is hard to understand (in Italian only). Unwilling to make necessary changes in entrees until pressed —and then assistant manager saved the day. Nicely renovated since it was Cesca.

    Absolutely loved our dinner! The staff and the ambiance were fantastic. Close to the Beacon Theatre which was perfect… it was a wonderful night.

    Just around the corner from my NYC home. What an amazing find. Our server Iris was amazing. The food was equally great. Was with a friend and it was nice to not feel rushed. Can’t wait to return.

    Three of us shared one item from each section of the menu. Everything we chose was really tasty (focaccia, little gem Caesar, cacio e Pepe pasta) but the chicken main and the carrots were superb! I’d go back.
