   Extremely disappointing outing to Tonic; we won’t be returning. Tonic, we were told, was out of bread - really?The steakhouse was out of Rib Eyes, all sizes - really, is this a steakhouse? As a result an expensive so Tomahawk was ordered which was priced far above its worth as it was flavorless. The excuse? It was Sunday. Don’t open if you can’t supply customers.

   We had not eaten here in several years. We were pleasantly surprised and pleased. Our server was extremely professional and friendly. She knew the menu well and was able to provide suggestions and information on dishes. Our drinks and food were delicious and arrived on time. Nothing to complain about.

   As our group expanded from 5 to 9 the team opened the attached back room and the longer table. Problem solved, and really glad the manager was there to step in and help us expand.

   Love the crab cakes. However, serving them with grits? I hope you find something more nourishing for the $40. Grits are pasty and BLAH. Love Bree. She's a trip. We are regulars.

    We love when we get the chance to go to Tonic (it's about 1/2 hour drive each way for us) and it was the first time we spent our NYE there. We aren't late people, so we reserved an early seating and wanted to catch the early music. Tonic was the perfect pick. Our seat placement (we requested lounge area) was the perfect ambience for us, the service was fantastic (kind, pleasant, and attentive), and the food was delicious. I had the special octopus and prawns (chefs hit this one out of the park-SO good) and my hubs had the half chicken. Our apps; the hummus, crab cocktail and tuna tartare were divine as well. We cleaned our plates and left with a full belly. This is a special place for us and always a treat when we get to go. Thanks for an another wonderful experience!
