The food was delivered soon after we ordered. We both enjoyed the Immaculata salad. The complimentary herbed bread was heavy on the garlic We ordered the pork and the salmon. Both were very well prepared and tasty. We finished our meal by splitting the chocolate caramel tart. It was very good.

The decor and tableware set a peaceful yet elegant tone, with aspects of monastic life nicely incorporated. We loved the menu: both in appearance and content! The food was very tasty with a “grandma’s home cooking” vibe, especially on a very cold night. We will be back to try the other menu items, and hope to be seated near that wonderful fountain.

We had a very friendly and conscientious Server named Courtney whom we enjoyed thoroughly. The interior ambience was very well executed. Loved the fountain in the center of the front of the house, loved the mural of the monks eating, loved the long refractory table, loved the carved St Francis of Assisi The food was very good, I had the mushroom tart in puff pastry, fresh and buttery. The Immaculata Salad fresh with a nice balance of blue cheese and vinegrette, the borsch soup which while good not as good as mine. We shared the whitefish on toast delicious and the hot pretzel with mustard sauce also tasty. For dessert we had the walnut chocolate bar cake which was fabulous. I would have had espresso but I like it served with sugar lumps and all they have is packets of sugar. The European way is to use sugar lumps to sweeten the Espresso along with a lemon rind. Perhaps the restaurant would consider offering sugar lumps with the espresso. I had the french press instead. All in all it was a lovely evening and our friends loved the restaurant. We will return.

Elisha (sorry if I spelled it wrong) was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I have celiac disease (I need gluten free food) and she was so helpful with the options. Really nice menu with very unique but hearty choices for the whole group. Go Sunday at 6:30 and you’ll have the place to yourself. It was full but then everyone was leaving for the theater. We appreciate the comfortable surroundings and we could talk easily.

Food and atmosphere were awesome. Service was amazing. Would definitely recommend to folks heading out for dinner before or after a show at Playhouse Square. Will definitely be back.

While the menu is fairly limited and not what I would consider a 'foodie' destination, the dishes that both my wife and I had were very well prepared and very tasty. Professional and attentive service, moderately priced. We were particularly impressed that not only did part-owner Brandon Christowski stop by everyone's table, a literal monk -- also a partner in the restaurant -- also stopped at each table to ask about everyone's experience...which was unexpectedly very good!

What a great concept! And Brandon was on site along with the Friar to make sure everything went spectacularly. There were 14 of us and all enjoyed the cuisine, atmosphere and service very much.
