Delicious food. Chef Edwin and Fr Jim circulated through the restaurant checking if diners were satisfied with food and service. Prices reasonable. May I recommend the lamb entrees along with the beet and orange salad. Don’t forget dessert! This a “ come back” restaurant! Enjoy Cleveland!

Friar's Table Restaurant Review Our visit to the Friar's Table was absolutely wonderful and we highly recommend it. This was just the third night since it opened, but things seem to be running smoothly. The restaurant has a delightful theme centered around the idea of being a place where one gets comfort food in an atmosphere reminiscent of the friar's table. It is in fact started and affiliated with the Cappuccine Order and is in part operating to support the training of servers and kitchen staff who have had a hard time in life. The menu has a European flair but is well designed and includes many vegetarian and vegan options. We enjoyed everything we had to eat, although the side dishes could have had a bit more spice to them. The restaurant is super conveniently located next to Playhouse Square so if you're going out for an evening at the theater, you are set.

My wife and I went to Friar's Table after a show at Playhouse Square. The food was very good and the service was excellent. It was not very crowded though since it just opened. It is definitely worth trying.

The Friar's Table will take you back in time, and so will the prices. Simple fare, warm hospitality and community spirit are the restaurant's signature attributes. Warm your tummy with some exquisitely prepared comfort food. Perfect place to bring your family before theater without breaking the bank. Brandon Chrostowski and Cleveland Capuchin Ministries hit a homerun with this place. This is a neighborhood gem.

One member of our party has several dietary needs and the chef was very attentive to her needs. He reviewed the menu with her, showed her which dishes would be safe for her, which not work and that he could modify some others. He checked in before each course! So often restaurants limit her to very few choices but here she had multiple delicious choices. Such a delightful experience that doesn’t occur at many restaurants!

Very impressed! Four of us had different meals and each was delicious. Lately, I have eaten chicken dishes at several upscale restaurants and experienced dry presentations. At Friar's Table my chicken breast was juicy and flavorful. I loved bread and pea soup too! My husband ordered the pork roulade and the potatoe cake that accompanied the dish was exceptional. The other two diners enjoyed their pasta dishes. This will be my "go to place" when coming into Cleveland (I live an hour away).

What a great dinner! This is a joint development between the Capuchin Ministries and Edwin’s, led by James Beard finalist Brandon Chrostowski, located in the delightfully remodeled Cowell & Hubbard space in Playhouse Square. This was opening night and the food and service was excellent! I had the braised lamb, well cooked and tender, and my wife had the Sea Bream, also excellent! We’ll be back!
