DO NOT BOOk HERE! Had to pay $16.95 per person to reserve our spot when it wasn’t even busy. This money was supposed to go towards a welcome drink (glass of champagne) and popcorn (we did not get). They said they could not get a hold of their popcorn guy so no popcorn for us, even though we had our reservation booked for 1.5 weeks. No alternative treat or discount or refund was offered to us. When we arrived on time they told us to come back as they were not ready for us yet. When we arrived 10 minutes past our appointment they still were not ready, no music was playing and everyone felt fried to but unprofessional. It honestly felt like it was a pop up in someone in university’s basement. You have to spend $20 per person and all the drinks are under $20 so they make you also have to buy food. We ordered cheese cake and they did not have any.We did not get water at our table. Only after we ordered off of the holiday menu did they inform us that there was a happy hour menu… which we could have ordered from for similar drinks for a fraction of the price. Just kept getting worst and worst as the visit went on. We tried to remain positive but it was one of the worst experiences in Toronto for us. Save you money and time and book elsewhere.

Very underwhelming. Instagram posts make the place look much larger than it really is. The festive drinks are mid. I've been to a few holiday popup bars and have had better cocktails.

Hii! They charged us 17$ per person for entrance that included a meagre glass of wine and 1 popcorn for the whole table. We were being forced to have more than 1 drink so that the bill is above 20$. Overall felt forced and falsely advertised

Do not bother coming here. You have to pay $15 per person for a ticket to get in, which includes a bowl of popcorn and a glass of wine. We were told there was a minimum $20 spend per person, and conveniently all the drinks are priced at $18-$19 which does not qualify for the minimum spend. We ordered a drink each and food which was all disappointing, but needed to reach the minimum spend. Right as we were ready for the bill, we were told that the minimum spend was actually only for drinks and we didn’t meet the requirements. It was the end of the night, we were ready to leave, we had enough to drink and we were driving, but the waiter still insisted we needed to spend an extra $2 each to meet the requirement. We ended up telling the waiter to just charge us for a soft drink and not give it to us so we could get the bill and go. Definitely not worth the experience due to the undisclosed cash grabs that should’ve been outlined on the reservation.

We made a reservation for 10:00 p.m. we arrived and were not seated until almost 10:30. We sat down were given some stale popcorn and waited for 15 minutes and the waitress didn't come and see us once. We got up and left without receiving our free drinks after paying a $16 cover. Just because the service was so bad. I would not recommend this bar to anybody and honestly it's worth the wait to go to other Christmas. Pop-ups rather than this bar.

Hi Derek, I'm sorry to hear about your experience. It is our first year and the first few nights we had some wait times longer than expected. We would love to invite you back and this time try to make up for your 1 star experience. We've made some changes for a much smoother arrival for all guests. Thanks, Candy Cane Bar
