The Junction Tavern is an imposing Victorian building in the heart of North London. Dating back to 1885, the main bar and dining room reflects its late Victorian heyday, but with all the modern comfort and facilities of a great British pub. Plum in the middle of Kentish Town and Tufnell Park, its 18th century frontage veils a TARDIS-like interior of dark-panelled rooms, a bright and airy conservatory and an award-winning beer garden.

Menus change often to take advantage of the best seasonal and local ingredients and this passion for quality and attention to detail is not limited to the kitchen. The entire ambience of the Junction strives towards relaxed and comfort perfection.

The dining room is light and airy. The bar area is warm and friendly with a stunning bar top and original fireplace. The conservatory with its view of the lovely beer garden is available for parties, weddings and meetings.

Was packed and really busy but waiting times were OK at 2.30pm. Food came hot and fresh ad the whitebait starter was wow factor. Lovely Carignan red wine not too strong. Waitress from Cork was attentive and outstanding and even brought extra butter for my roasties. Just a great place for a Sunday roast lunch.

What a disappointing evening. Food was too salty, steak was tough. Standards were much higher last time we were there, about 15 years ago.

This has been a favourite pub for a while and after the refurbishment outside it had gotten even better. Unfortunately last Friday the quality of the food (which was one of the main draws for me) has gone severely downhill. Boring, tasteless burger and undercooked fries. A real disappointment!

Excellent food and fantastic service. They made it special for my son's birthday by bringing his desert with a candle and singing Happy Birthday!! The only complaint is my wife ordered the apple crumble on the menu but was served gooseberry crumble without being notified of the change. We will definitely be returning as the food is great. Would recommend the delicious fish and chips and the burger !!
