It’s simple really, our calling card is sustainable Scottish seafood.

Our name comes from the Gaelic word for fish. It’s a wee bit tricky to pronounce, but it’s no bother if guests don’t get it quite right. With delicious fresh produce served by our very own Head Chef, Sean Currie, you'll feel the energy in the way we go about things – our warm welcome, enthusiasm for what we do, and, of course, a splash of Glaswegian banter.

Serving sustainable Scottish seafood is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why £1 on every bill goes to The Firth Forth Lobster Hatchery, who hatch, rear and release lobsters to ensure stocks remain plentiful for future generations. Sea more on Instagram: @lobsterhatchery

The food was good, but the service was dreadful. The drinks order was taken and waited at least a full 10 minutes to receive them, one of the starters arrived before our first drinks … a beer and wine I might add. Only two of our party had dessert when the server put the plates down she just placed them in the middle of the table and walked away, didn’t even put them to the correct people. We felt not wanted at all. Additionally, having a salad leaf as a garnish on a dessert was not pleasant

Food was nice, service could have been better. We weren’t offered the festive menu either, despite it being on their website.

Beautiful restaurant and lovely staff. Food portions were small for the price. Monkfish was overcooked and dry. A bit disappointing but I still enjoyed my lunch experience.

We waited 45 minutes before we were served and that is only due to me getting the attention of a server. The restaurant was exceptionally busy. We had an afternoon tea which was lovely and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our afternoon only downside was that nobody noticed our group and we waited 45 minutes before our orders were taken. However overall the ambience was beautiful and a lovely afternoon.

UPDATE 13/12/24 I’m afraid that my husband who had the GF afternoon tea was obviously glutened presumably via cross contamination. He’s been very unwell so won’t be returning. Wasn’t particularly busy but service was a bit slow - perhaps the Tottenham football team & entourage was the main focus. Had hoped for a better overall experience for my 70th but hey ho.

I tried the squash risotto, it was delicious! I paired it with the garlic broccoli and fried whole potatoes: the perfect hearty dinner for a cold night in Glasgow. The waiters were very attentive and friendly and the place is gorgeous. The perfect spot to gather with friends or for a date. They don't have a wide selection of wines I have to say, but this is common in many restaurants throughout Scotland.

We were not provided with the menu we booked. One of our party was served the wrong meal.

The restaurant looks beautiful but the food was average at best. We were offered bread and olives when we came in and were charged £6.50 each (I know you’d always expect to pay for these but £6.50 for olives seems a bit steep). The olives honestly tasted like sweat, we never ate any of them they were genuinely vile, as was the butter served with the bread. Foccacia was tasty enough though. I had the duck main which was really lovely, got the side of crispy potatoes expecting small, crisp little potatoes. These were massive! Not crispy at all and served on a horrible mayo. The cauliflower gratin was just cold cauliflower in a cheese sauce - not what I’d call a gratin. We left swiftly after our mains. Thankfully we had a voucher as if be gutted if we’d paid £120 for that meal. Unfortunately won’t be back which is a shame because the hotel and restaurant itself are lovely.
