   Very disappointed with this restaurant. Have been here before with better experience. Restaurant was not busy on a Saturday night. Service slow and worst of all, the steak I ordered, a wagu, is tough.

   Overpriced. Over “themed”. Paid for the convenience of staying in the hotel and enjoyed the location. Shame that the old guy and football feature way too prominently against the otherwise elegant seating along the river. Enough already with that, tone it down. Food is average and expensive. The giant piece of birthday cake was fun and delicious thus 4 stars and not a meh 3.

   Very nice place. Food was delicious and our waiter was the best. Was there for a birthday and he help make it a wonderful evening.

   Chef Paolo was exceptional however this location did not impress. No knife service. Server not attentive. Meal was just ok for the price point. Not exceptional.

   First off, the steaks were very tasty - this is part of the staple of this establishment, and were done well. The rest is where it fell very short. The staff were overly friendly and chatty, just not necessary, and even with the hits of short answers, were still overly engaging. This mean was the evening before the Chicago marathon, and they had a special pasta carb loading menu. We ordered the Pasta Bolognese thinking it would be of high quality. it was not. this could have been served at olive garden, not flavorful, not authentic, not up to par for a steak house of this caliber. Ordered a corn side, which we frankly did not eat at all, first taste was sub-optimal and did not improve with 2nd bite. What was very crazy is that the server asked how the steaks were, and walked away prior to us trying the other items. The person clearing the table asked about take home boxes, we expressed disappointment which is why there was so much leftovers, and can not be sure if that info ever reached the server or anyone else. It was quite obvious however, and seems like it was conspicuously overlooked. I'm not a complainer, dont want to be confused with someone looking for a free entre or something, but this was far below par - and why I chose to write about it here.

   This is my favorite steakhouse in Chicago… and that’s taking into account about four dozen other steakhouses I’ve tried in the area. Robert and Alex waited on us and they were fantastic. They weee mindful, professional, and paid attention to detail. They brought my mother out a crème brûlée for her birthday with a pink candle in it, what sweet gentlemen. We both ordered the filet Mignon, which was cooked perfectly. We shared the asparagus and brussels sprouts, both with amazing flavors. If you are looking for a high-quality restaurant, this is it.

   Service was excellent. Great Shula salad. Nice shrimp cocktail. Steak was tender (filet) black pepper crust nice but not cooked as ordered and sauces served with steak bland.

    Food and service was outstanding. We had a large group on business and our waitress graciously split our check up. Probably the best NY Strip ever. It was crusted in Peppercorn and was very tender.
