    We had a reservation for 6:30 and waited an extra 30 min to be seated. The noise level was deafening and meaningful conversation was impossible. The waitress did her best but they were short staffed. The food was good but didn’t make enough difference in the overall experience. I doubt we will dine there again.

    Our reservation was at 6:15. It look 15 minutes to get drinks, 30-45 min for appetizers and over an hour for our main course. We were at the restaurant over 2 hours. This was very frustrating with a 9mo old and 3 yo. Our waitress was great and kept apologizing saying she was slammed and the kitchen had no help. Will not be going back.

    Bad experience. Manager apologized, discounted and acknowledged major problems he intends to fix. Seated 40 minutes after reservation. Took 45 for food. Salads missing ingredients. Hope he can salvage the place.

    We came for my twins' birthday and had a reservation for 7 people for 7:30pm. I recognize that a Saturday night on the Plaza during the holidays is going to be busy, which is why I was sure to make a reservation. We arrived 20 minutes early, just in case, but then were not seated until nearly 8:45. We tried being nice and understanding (even helping to move chairs when we could tell the service staff was super busy), but the wait was excessive and my 10-year-old was crying he was so hungry and tired. Every time we asked, they told us we were next on their list, but then sat another group of 7 in front of us (that happened 4 times). Once we were finally seated (again, over an hour after our reservation), the host gave us three free appetizers (much appreciated), but then we had to wait 15 minutes (and asked our waiter 4 times) for plates and silverware once they arrived so we could eat them. They were cold by the time we got what we needed (and even then were still 1 plate and 1 set of silverware short). Most in our group said the food was very good (some said it was just fine), but the service was just awful. Again, I understand being busy and likely short staffed, but basic things like having plates and silverware is just a given. We had to ask multiple times for steak knives and, even though four of us ordered steak, they only brought us one and said "you can share." It was so disappointing and not the night I wanted to celebrate family birthdays. It will be a long time before we brave Kona Grill again.

    It was incredibly busy. We had reservations at 7 PM and got our table about 720. Had to wait about 45 minutes for food and they got our order wrong.

    Very disappointing and slow AF. We arrived 15 minutes early to our reservation and waited to our reservation time, despite multiple open tables. Once seated, it took about 10 minutes for our server to come by to greet us and take drink orders. We placed 2 kids orders and an app with our drinks as our kiddos were hungry. It took an hour to get their kids orders. The app came later. Our adult orders finally came 90 minutes after we sat down. The manager came to apologize, but it was a fly-by, as nearly every tables food was taking forever. No comps, no explanation. We left feeling really frustrated and disappointed. In hindsight, we should have just left at the first sight of trouble. Kona used to be one of our favorites when we were younger, and we were excited to take our kids there tonight. Just a huge bummer. Be better, man.

    We had reservations for 5:45. Got our table right away, but had to wait approximately 15 minutes for water. Then another 10-15 minutes for our drink orders. We ordered an app, and meals at the same time. Our app (California rolls) can out about two minutes before the rest of our food, and when it was all said and done, we had waited 1 hour and 20 minutes from when we sat down to when our food came. We know this was a kitchen issue and not related to our server, but it almost seemed like she was avoiding most of her tables bc she was embarrassed that it was taking such a long time so our drinks were often empty. The food was extremely lackluster. I ordered the wagyu fried rice as my entree and it was extremely oily. The only one extremely happy with their meal was my daughter who ordered an $8 bento box from the kids’ menu. Definitely the highlight of our $200 family meal. We will not be back! Has definitely gone downhill.

    My family and I were so disappointed this evening. In the past, we have always enjoyed Kona Grill. Tonight we had reservations at 7:45. When we checked in, they said we should be able to sit down really close to 7:45. We were finally seated at our table at 8:45. However, our table only had three chairs, so 4 of us had to stand. When they told us we could use barstools from the sushi bar, we ended up having to get the bar stools ourselves. We sat at the table for about 10 minutes before anyone came to check on us. However, our waitress was very nice. Our food came to us about 50 minutes later, and half of our orders were lukewarm. On top of this, Kona Grill has doubled all of their prices, some tripled. The portions have been cut in half. Fish and chips cost $37. I will say this the hostess was fantastic. Smiling, apologetic, and doing her best with the busy crowd. Unfortunately, I don't believe we will be visiting Kona Grill again. We should have paid close attention to the reviews.
