Good Christmas Eve lunch before heading down to the lower Falls. The Duck Confit Chilaquiles were spicier than expected, which was a very good thing. My mother enjoyed her Fish & Chips, and the cherry pie was delicious.

Breakfast at Salish on Dec 24th has been our family tradition for the last three years. We always look forward to it. This year was disappointing. We waited for 20 minutes to be seated (with a reservation). We were upstairs in the Attic which was cramped and loud. The food was not as good (coffee was sour) and portions were small. Breakfast for 3 with coffee was $107! Not sure we will be back next year. The view was amazing though.

The service was fantastic. It was our anniversary, they were kind enough to give us a table with a great view of the waterfall. The Risotto was kind of bland, but everything else was delicious.

We met here with our daughter and her new husband as an early celebration for Christmas since we live on opposite sides of the state. I made the only reservation available, which was in the “lounge” because Salish is renovating. We were shown the lounge but were then taken upstairs to a small room with a few tables. Granted, it had a great view of the Falls and we were right by the window. The food was pretty good, not great, but good. The raspberry jam served with the biscuits, which were complimentary, was amazing! The waitress was very kind however she was quite absent and we waited very long times before she would show up again. We thought perhaps she was also working in the main lounge and/or the kitchen was a long ways from the room we were eating in. Overall, we will revisit again when the new restaurant opens because the setting is beautiful. We will give it another try and I would recommend it.

There was nothing on the website indicating that the main dining room was under construction so we were disappointed when we arrived to be seated in the more casual “Attic” dining space. Food was’okay’. There was a $5 charge to’split’ a salad we wanted to share but we were not asked if we wanted it split onto 2 plates. For dessert we asked for it to be warmed but it wasn’t and the coffee was weak. The service however was very good and friendly.

We arrived to free valet parking and went inside the lodge. We had to wait since our table was not ready, we were early. A few minutes later we were offered a window table, if we wanted to wait approximately 15 minutes. We elected to wait and was rewarded with a spectacular view of the water and surrounding cliffs. Our server, Jessica, was offering drinks immediately. She told us that biscuits and honey would be served to everyone, having been here before, it was a treat we were anticipating. Drinks were out in a few minutes, orders taken. The short rib hash eggs Benedict was awesome, we all had bites. There were rave reviews about the French toast as well Previous to the food, the biscuits and honey were served, with jam, delicious. Jessica also gave us some fun facts about the lodge, falls, the ladder and more. Food was excellent, service was speedy and great, awesome view to enjoy while eating. Getting the car back from the valet was quick, even though our remote puck wasn't working. Outstanding place to go, decked out for holidays. Highest recommendation, if you have not been, make it a must do!

There’s construction going on that you aren’t aware of till you get there and don’t get a view of the falls or anything. You sit in the lounge area which is okay but not what you’re expecting when paying $200 for a meal.

Great view. Sad to hear the attic won’t be around after remodel. It had better views than the main restaurant. Food was awesome.

The restaurant has beautiful views of the falls, but you will only see it if you’re at a window table. The rest of the restaurant is nice, but very dark. Our food was good-but expensive. Price was decently expected due to the luxury lodge. My husband and I ordered the sirloins, and they came in a large chunk (almost like a filet, vut very chunky). It made slightly difficult to eat and cut. Overall, good meal. Not sure if we would go back outside of convenience if we stay at the lodge again.

The eggs were cooked well. The bacon was good. Salad on a breakfast plate was weird. The biscuits we love were dry, but the honey and blackberry jam were great. The underseasoned yukon potatoes were cut too large and were solid and not cooked through. Once they remembered to bring the scalloped potatoes at the end of the meal, I enjoyed them. Mimosa flight was excellent. Overall, brunch fell very short of what we had last year and what we were expecting this time. We came here for our anniversary last year and it was spectacular. We chose Salish again for our 5th anniversary this year because last year was so memorable, but unfortunately, this was not the case. My husband said at least Denny's would have cooked the potatoes all the way. The service is always great at Salish, but sadly, that's not enough to get us to come back for our next celebration. Quality has significantly declined in the food, which is so sad for such an iconic place that has been known for being outstanding.
