    The staff is so welcoming and the food is ALWAYS the best we traveled over an hour to eat here. They have the best waiters that kept smiles on all of our faces with the great service.

    We had dinner at Morton’s the other night before attending a basketball game downtown. It has long been one of our favorite restaurants in Dallas, and this time did not disappoint. The food was perfect, the server was friendly and helpful. Will be back.

    First time eating at Morton’s and I’ve lived in Dallas 36yrs. The entire experience was great and surpassed my expectations. Tom was our server and he did a ‘menu tour’ with us and told us about each dish and answered all of our questions. The drinks ( ‘Mortini’ and Old Fashioned) were perfect. All 4 of us in my party ordered the 8 oz Filet and then some sides for the table (sour cream mashed potatoes, jumbo asparagus, and sautéed spinach/mushrooms). All of our steaks came out cooked perfectly. I had the Bernaise sauce with mine and they had the garlic butter. The steak was outstanding. Every single bite of food was absolutely delicious! When we finished dinner there was not one bite of food left on any plate. It was that good. When my BIL ordered his steak he also ordered the chocolate cake ( similar to a lava soufflé cake). It was served with vanilla ice cream and looked delicious. He and SIL ate every bite. So basically two thumbs up for Morton’s. Atmosphere was really nice and not too loud, service excellent, food excellent, drinks (and wine) excellent. We will definitely go back when we venture downtown again.

    Server was ok at best. He was kind of annoying and unprofessional. Steaks not cooked properly and had little flavor. Wedge salad ok. Oysters not shucked well with poor appearance. Not a good east coast flavor.

    It was great dinner, wish we knew beforehand that we could not bring in a cake so we wouldn’t have brought it. Besides that, great food, great service!
