Si parla Italiano! Since its doors opened in 1988, Gianni Delisi’s family-run Italian trattoria has flourished as a mainstay on the Chicago restaurant scene. Trattoria Gianni’s menu features a diverse selection of regional Italian dishes, augmented with superb daily specials and a delicious dessert menu. Gianni’s boasts an extensive wine list, a full bar and a great selection of grappas. The restaurant has been awarded 3 stars from the Chicago Tribune, 3 1/2 stars from the Chicago Sun Times and has consistently received excellent ratings from Zagats. Delicious food and great service. A solid pre theater option or just for a great meal out in Lincoln Park. Deliciously authentic menu plus tonight’s specials were over the top!

Gianni always welcomes us home. This isn't some nouveau, trendy place but a warm, neighborhood treasure and perfect pairing for Steppenwolf Theater nestled in the heart of Lincoln Park.

We had a lovely dining experience. The ambiance was perfect, we requested a table away from the door and that request was honored and the server was fabulous! Everyone was so kind and the food was delicious. Thank you!

Our reservation for 6 people was for 6pm and we were all there on time. However, it took them 10-15 mins to set up a table, which was kind of jammed into a corner. The restaurant was very crowded. Our server seemed to have too much to do, so service was a bit slow. The food, however, was all excellent and delicious. We had Bolognese (4 people had this), chicken Marsala, spinach ravioli and 2 shared salads. We will return, may wait till next summer when we can sit on the patio, where it's quieter.
