Max is an acclaimed Italian restaurant that serves soul satisfying, authentic food with a warm welcome. It originally opened in 2000 in Alphabet City and a few years ago moved to Tribeca. What started as a small place to eat became a many time award winning restaurant and the go to place for consistent high quality food at reasonable prices in an inviting setting.

Pasta was overcooked and over sauced. Under impressive meal. Very limited by the glass wine selection. Not so good.

We had a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner experience. We arrived 15 minutes early, and our table was already prepared and waiting for us. The ambiance was charming, romantic, and the food was exceptional.

Small room, so a little loud if it’s busy, but good vibe. Excellent martini. The salmon with spinach and mashed potatoes was delicious and cooked exactly as I requested. The blue crab ravioli special was also very good. Well paced delivery of appetizers and mains. Friendly and competent staff. Will go back for sure.
