Located on the banks of the Truckee River between Truckee and Tahoe City, this rustic old Tahoe lodge has been a Tahoe dining favorite for many, many years. We had reservations for 8pm however showed up half an hour early. The host was super nice and was able to seat us even though it was obviously super busy on Thanksgiving. The waitress was on top of everything! Even got us two rolls heated and warmed up for us! The ambiance of the restaurant was romantic with good mood lightning. The only negative item I would have to mention is the two restrooms were super busy and there was a line of 4 people who had to wait over 10 minutes for the people in the restrooms to open up. Overall, I would definitely return to this restaurant for lunch or dinner!!!

Food was excellent and the service was top tier. The waitress was very attentive and friendly, and seated us next to the fireplace when the patrons left. That was a nice touch because it was snowing, outside, so the fireplace made the ambience nice and cozy.

Such an icon. Love the seasonal menu and warm service. Happy hour 3-5 during the week. Great bar area. Amazing view of the truckee river. Most importantly, wonderful food !

Such a great experience at this restaurant. We were greeted warmly by the host/bartender and seated at a table overlooking the Truckee river. Our server, Courtney, was knowledgeable, super nice, and made the evening enjoyable. The food - well, what can I say except that it was really delicious? The Brussels sprouts are a must, the Mahi Mahi prepared to perfection, the quinoa stuffed delicata squash was so tasty, and the flourless chocolate torte was a great ending to our meal.
