   A wonderful visit to a fabulous restaurant where my Mum and Dad had their Silver Wedding anniversary celebration on 1st July 1966. I'd always promised my wife and daughter I would take them for a celebration of our own - and 58.5 years later I did! Such a special evening for us. Such a wonderful trip down memory lane. Thank you to all at The Compleat Angler.

   A nice afternoon tea, would have very good but had a lady sat in corner doing all her work phone calls for the entire experience. The staff took photos and very friendly. A good afternoon tea, not outstanding though.

   We were resident in the hotel and originally intended to visit Atul Kochar's restaurant Sindhu also located in the hotel. Sindhu was closed for a private party so we diverted to the Riverside. Originally we were dissapointed but that soon changed. The restaurant was excellent on all levels and the set menu at £35 for three courses was amazing value. Some of the older reviews are not encouraging particularly on the service front but they have clearly improved alot. We would highly recommend and we look forward to returning.

   Excellent staff menu limited and pricey not choices on Website. Fantastic Cote de boeuf but mayonnaise not bearnaise sauce. Limited dessert choice. Very few diners except one large party. Breakfast very good though.

   Positive review: lovely river view. Negative review: 1/. Food- 70% of food listed on the menu was NOT available. 2/. Service: very bad, eg. ordered a bottle of water (it NEVER arrived) & ordered side vegetables- only arrived after reminder the waiter three times. Overall experience: dreadful and well over priced from food and service experience.

   We had to queue to get into the restaurant as two staff members were talking to a group. The waitress was very abrupt in her manner when we asked for a drink to start with and she had to be reminded a couple of times that we wanted a wine list.. We asked twice for the heating to be put up higher as we were sat with coats on. The main course arrived one hour after ordering with no apology. The fish that two guests ordered was overdone and my prawn pasta was cold. We ordered desserts and these were very nice. We have decided that we will not be coming back to the restaurant. It’s certainly style over substance. We have eaten in Sindhu before and this was a very different dining experience. Overall we were all disappointed with our Riverside experience.

    For a restaurant of its supposed class it was very disappointing. I was poor food, and tasteless. Only two tables booked and has a very poor reputation with Marlow residents.
