Tuck into delectable British dishes at the Riverside Restaurant, enjoy al fresco dining overlooking the Marlow Weir at The Lawn or for a unique dining experience. Chef Shaun has designed a sensational menu, where traditional British cuisine is created with contemporary flair.
Every Sunday, we serve our Traditional Sunday Roast, perfectly prepared and served with all the classic trimmings. Please note that during the summer months, a £10 table charge per table applies for reservations on our restaurant terrace overlooking the weir side. This premium seating offers beautiful views and a unique dining experience. The terrace is subject to availability and weather conditions and cannot be guaranteed without confirmation.

We were received graciously and asked to choose which table overlooking the river. Service was polite and considerate. Food arrived after a long spell but it does need to be together for 5. Several staff were on hand to ensure that we had all that was needed. Very grateful for the Birthday treat as well.

A really beautiful venue for celebrating a special occasion. The room would benefit from a cooling fan on hot days. The food was good and the service from Om, one of the team, was really excellent. Very attentive and even brought out a hat that I had left behind. Thank you! I would suggest providing an option for more sandwiches and fewer cakes for those who prefer the savoury part of afternoon tea or even a gentleman’s tea option. We had a lovely time though, thank you!

Delightful birthday lunch with a view of the river. Excellent choice of menu and the food was exceptional. Fantastic to see a menu that is different from the usual The restaurant was busy as were the outside tables so allow a little extra time to enjoy the full experience.

Poor service, too much “don’t know “ or “have to check” and to ask £10 yo sit on terrace is bizarre. Reception greeting poor. Some dishes excellent other average. Shame.

We stayed at the hotel and was very impressed by the scenic views of the river. However, I unimpressed by the fact that when I walked up to the bar and ordered two alcoholic drinks which came to £25 I had to pay for a service charge without being prompted. I wouldn’t not ally mind if the drinks where being brought to me or if the staff were being extra pleasant but that wasn’t the case. In addition, we had a table booked for dinner as we were staying in the hotel but ended up cancelling as we requested for a table on the riverside and they requested that we had to pay a £10 fee just to sit there.

Food was a bit meh; my choices - the flavour profiles were all wrong, too busy and fussy, without holding up to a delicious taste. Service was okay, though hottest day of the year and I had to ask for water for the table three times. Others in my party seemed to enjoy the restaurant. Wouldn’t go back.

I booked afternoon tea at this restaurant, and the price listed online was £40 per person. Even on their menu when I arrived at the restaurant, it showed the same price — £40. But they told me the price is actually £56, and I don’t know why. If the price had only been listed online, I might have assumed it was updated or changed. But even on their physical menu, it said £40, and yet they insisted the price was £56. Honestly, I was very disappointed with them.
