Ruby's is a brilliant gem in downtown Rye. It is chic, casual and comfortable. It charms guests with its varied menu, friendly and professional service, and its lively ambience. Ruby's stylish décor showcases an authentic zinc bar from Paris, beaded chandeliers and ruby red drapes. From its coffered ceiling and tasseled sconces down to its marble mosaic floor, no precious stone has been left unturned.

We’ve been dining here for over 20 years but tonight makes us never want to go back. Our waitress wanted to take our order immediately after we were seated before we even looked at the menu. She brought us incorrect drinks, side dishes were missing in our order and the worst part was that our appetizers and entrees arrived at the same time. Our waitress rushed us the entire night it was so uncomfortable. Also, we had to keep asking for our water glasses to be refilled. Service was absolutely a disappointment and at those prices, we deserved better.

New menu with some old favorites. They stopped putting bread on the table. I guess it is now a request item. I will check when I next go back. The duck confit special was very good as well as a generous pour of excellent wines

The food and service was great! We had the fried oysters as an appetizer which were meaty and succulent, and not overly-fried-tasting. I had the Fire and Ice appetizer as my dinner which was a great sushi and sashimi plate with seaweed salad, and the hubby had the seafood cioppino which is always a fan favorite with lots of fish and bread to sop up the broth. The noise level is loud with hard floors, walls and ceiling surfaces, but it does feel vibrant. They have soft cushioned seats, which helps me sit for longer. All around, a great dinner!

Always a great dining experience! One of the few places that offer oysters from both coasts. My wife and I usually opt for the superbly prepared seafood! Thoroughly enjoyed the great meal!
