   we had a very pleasant 40th anniversary dinner. Excellent food and great service. Both our steaks were cooked perfectly as were the sides we ordered. My wife really loved the Sweet Potato Casserole.

   We are repeat customers at Ruth Chris. We’ve even been to Ruth Chris in other states and countries. Our least favorite experience is at our hometown Ruth Chris in Westbury the last few times we’ve been there, including our last experience. We arrived and were welcomed, but the hosts (there were 3) said nothing to us about waiting. So we just stood there waiting at the entrance for about 10 minutes while the hosts stood there chatting. Of course assuming someone was setting up our table, but I find it odd not to be given an update or even told it would take a few minutes. Every single visit at Ruth Chris means a rib eye for me and I ask for it rare plus. If the server doesn’t understand this term I ask for it between medium rare and rare. Tbe server understood it. To my surprise the steak came out medium! I did not send it back because it was already late on the night and our server seemed to forget about us throughout the night. I didn’t want to hunt her down and wait for a new steak. When I was finally asked how my steak was I was 1/3 of the way done with it. She was very apologetic and brought the manager over. He offered to change the steak. When I reduced due to the above mentioned reasons, the manager offered dessert. Being on a ketogenic diet I couldn’t eat dessert and my husband couldn’t fit another bite. Dessert was brought out anyway, one we wouldn’t have chosen had we opted for dessert. My husband felt the need to eat it so as not to be rude. I know they were trying to make it right but this was more disappointing. We will probably be back, but I really hope the kitchen staff learns how to cook a steak at a steak house and that the server is more attentive even with her last tables. I wouldn’t make a later reservation again.

   Wonderful meal, as always. Service above and beyond, as always. That being said, I thought the dessert menu was lacking variety. Despite dessert, Ruth’s Chris remains our favorite restaurant.

   We haven’t been to this location in a few years. We have loved every experience we ever had at any Ruth’s Chris. Last night just felt regular, something most other restaurants can do. The service was average and WAY too casual. I expect the servers there to be more polished and upscale, and our server was like a waitress at an Applebee’s. In fact, it felt that way from the general manager to the hostesses all the way down to every single person who worked there. The ambience was also more casual. The thing that shocked me the most was that we were still eating appetizers and the main courses came out, which has NEVER happened before. Most of the food was good, but the brussels sprouts tasted like nothing and my lettuce “wedge” was more of a lettuce chunk. We’ve always gone there to celebrate special occasions and it just didn’t feel special. I won’t go back to this location.
