   We had a reservation and they gave us a choice wait with everyone in the waiting area when something becomes available or take a table in the bar. Overbooked. We chose to eat in the bar. We did not really want to spend their prices to eat in the bar. Asked for the bar menu when seated and they said only the dinner menu is available. We still said ok. We received the menu when seated. After that we waited to order. The next 45 minutes we kept waiting with no acknowledgement, waitstaff walking past tables and no one would stop, answer or greet us. As it approached an hour we left and ate elsewhere. A restaurant of this caliber should not be overbooking tables where they can’t possible provide service. Not a good experience. The lobby was full of people waiting for their table and reservations to be honored. Not a good experience.

   We learned that Baltimore County restaurant week started yesterday. So we made a reservation for the 3 of us to dine last night at 6:30 pm. Our 3rd was rushing but still running late - so I call Ruth Chris' and easily changed the reservation to 6:45. We arrived at 6:40, were seated right away. They took our order and the waiter brought fresh warn bread (French, and darker bread) with butter. Shortly there after came the appetizers, calamari and Lobster Mac & Cheese. When we finished, the petite filet and sides of cream spinach and mashed potatoes came rolling out. Everything was delicious from the perfect seafood gumbo which the waitress gently poured into our bowls with formed white rice in the center to the Lobster Mac, petite filet - which we ate with bread and butter as well as the scrumptious sides. All and all it was a perfect meal which we envisioned as our inaugural ball dinner since we could not afford real tickets. But we are coming back for more next Friday, the end of restaurant week. Thank you Ruth Chris' for an amazing and much needed meal.

   Our first experience at Ruth’s Chris - cocktails, salads, and steaks were fantastic. Sides did not measure up. Dessert cheese cake was excellent. Only down side to our experience was I ordered a glass of wine prior to receiving my entree, which arrived when I was nearly finished so I did not accept it. All in all a very positive experience.

   Waiter was sweet but not accurate or attentive. She never brought out things that were asked for. After reminding her about one thing she stated she thought someone else brought it out. Asked for no tomatoes on salad. Salad came out with tomatoes. Asked for two cups of ice, never received. When she boxed my leftovers up she put my creamed spinach on top of my chicken mashed down in same box. Never had that happen before, that annoyed me once I opened it I don’t like my food to touch. Manager visited every table around us but passed ours several times not even acknowledging us. I visit Ruth Chris so often first time at this location. The ambiance was the best I’ve seen, food was 8/10, service was about a 4/10. In other words I’ve had better!

   Had a 7:45 reservation. Did not get seated untill 8:05. Lobster tail was crunchy and not worth the price. Steaks were good but not as good as last months visit. Service overall was lacking. Glasses of water were empty most of the meal. Server had to be reminded we already ordered dessert.

   Open table reservations had 30 minute time slots open from 5pm to 10:30pm. I made 7pm reservations, waited in the overcrowded lobby area 25 minutes to be seated in the requested area at the time of booking. The offered reservation time was misleading because the restaurant was packed full of walk-ins. Why offer reservations if you’re not going to reserve seating for those who go through the proper channel of booking a reservation? The bar area smelled of marijuana smoke, with lots of ppl standing around. Walk-ins seem to be prioritized. I wish restaurants went back to having standards.
