If you're looking for a Filipino dining experience in Sydney that will make you feel at home, look no further than Takam! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service that instantly sets the tone for an unforgettable meal. The food is nothing short of spectacular. Their Lumpia de Shanghai is a delightful starter-fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavours. The King Prawn Palabok is a masterpiece, with perfectly grilled prawns resting on a bed of rich, flavourful noodles topped with vibrant garnishes that elevate the dish to new heights. And for dessert, the Leche Flan is simply divine, with a silky texture and just the right amount of sweetness to end your meal on a perfect note. The ambiance is cozy yet stylish, creating the perfect setting for enjoying a feast that truly celebrates Filipino cuisine. Whether you're Filipino or new to the cuisine, you'll feel an immense sense of pride in every bite. Takam has truly brought the flavours of the Philippines to Sydney with heart and soul. Highly recommended— don't miss out on these dishes!

Very happy with this collab KOI X Sebastian. Very happy with the kakigori and paired well with the mocktail. Plus point we got the best seats right at the center and served by Chef Reynold & Chef Sebastian. The Kakigoris taste so light and not overly sweet so we still have some room for KOI cake afterwards. Excellent!!

Newtown
About the restaurant
Our restaurant & workshop share space, but more important are the views we share - that if we can make it ourselves, we will. That traditions guide but do not rule. Rising Sun Workshop does not support factory farming, what we buy in we buy local, from roasters, smokers, brewers, growers, winemakers & distillers who share our philosophies - our mates.

We’re here for your crazy & not so crazy dietaries, not all things are possible but with a little notice they might be.
