Éttermünk 2011 nyara óta van jelen a budai várnál. A ’Terrace’ szó nem hiába került bele az elnevezésbe, hiszen a vendégek valóban úgy érezhetik, hogy egy másik világba, idilli környezetbe csöppentek, elég helyet foglalni a buja zöld növényzettel körülölelt terasz asztalainál. A kerthelyiség szinteltolásos építészeti kialakítása, a felső részen helyet kapott grillkonyha, a kényelmesen és tágasan elhelyezett bútorzat otthonos hangulatot teremt.

Our guests can indeed feel that they got into another world, an idealistic scene, it is enough to take a seat at the tables of the terrace surrounded by lush, growing greens. The leveled architectural design of the terrace, the higher level of the grill kitchen, the comfortably and loosely placed furniture, creates an intimate and also cozy feeling.

Our pizza dough recipe follows such an ancient technique that is only used by a few today, mainly due to its time consuming nature
According to an old teaching it’s impossible to firm the knowledge of something that we don’t know, therefore training and continuously educating our colleagues is an important part of our daily routine…!

A little light filtered out onto the street from behind heavy velvet curtains shows you are heading in the right direction. Beautifully decorated inside and very warm (nice in the winter). We got the most popular shrimp spaghetti dish, along with a rigatoni and steak medallion dish, and a roast goose and polenta dish as a main. All the food was delicious and service was good - just a bit more than we’d expect to pay for this normally. We did have two glasses of wine and had to purchase water so I suppose that is why too (and service fee was included). Overall I’d go again and recommend it, but if you only had one or two meals in Budapest and are able to get good Italian wherever you normally are, I’d say try something else and come here if you have time for a 3rd or 4th meal.

In addition to our sumptuous dishes made from beef, you can also choose from poultry dishes as well as seafood specialties.

I have been to Pampas Steakhouse many times and have always been satisfied with the food, wine and service. Really outstanding service! Probably the best steaks in Budapest, highly recommended.

Excellent local cuisine locally sourced. The salad, chicken paprika, and grilled perch were very good, as was the waiter’s wine advice about local wines to pair with the dishes.

The steak was excellent, we both had Argentinian tenderloin of different sizes and both were beautiful. The side dishes let the meal down a little as they lacked some imagination and were a little bland. The prawn starter in garlic were great but make sure you all have them as the quantity of garlic was really high but lovely. Only one dessert between us a chocolate fonddant which was OK But needed something with it as it was a little dry on its own. The Malbec was superb as you would expect from Argentina.. The downside for us was the location of our table. There are 4 tables for two to the right of the door as you enter. It was really cold when we went and sitting there you got a blast of cold air everytime the door opened. We like the couple beside us asked to move but there were no other options available as the place was full. The only option was to cover your krgs with your coat while seated, not a good advert for the location. Service was good attentive but not pushy. This is not a cheap place to dine but the quality of the steak alone made up for the minor inconveniences.
