The first & only steakhouse of its kind in the Louisville area, Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse serves only dry-aged USDA prime beef. While steak is the foundation of the menu, Jeff Ruby's promises to please seafood lovers as well with its raw/sushi bar & seafood entrees.
Jeff Ruby regulars will be pleased to know that their favorite signature items from the Cincinnati restaurants will be well represented in Louisville. The bone-in filet, the 7 cheese baked macaroni, creamed spinach, truffle flake, & of course Jeff Ruby's secret recipe cheesecake are all staples of the Louisville menu.
Styled after the great NY steakhouses of the 1930s & '40s, Jeff Ruby's promises to be as pleasing visually as it is to the palate. French art-deco design, plush mohair upholstery, hand-selected antique furniture, and cinematic crystal chandeliers anchored by a 1950s-era antique are featured in the Starz series Magic City and the 32-foot wall of wine.

Repeal is Whiskey Row’s only oak-fired steakhouse, located at the birthplace of J.T.S. Brown & Sons Bourbon Company in Louisville. A stylish departure from a traditional steakhouse, Repeal uses a wood-fired grill stoked daily with reclaimed American Oak bourbon barrels. We are were in town for king of the bluegrass basketball tournament in Fairdale. The appetizer we had the tuna poke (10/10) We got a bottle of Treana Cab wine to have with our main course… My husband had the medallion filets and I had the 7 oz filet (med rare) We got cheesy potatoes and asparagus for sides to share. The portion sides are generous! Wow!!!!!! Everything was phenomenal .. and don’t even get me started on the bread with the beef mallow and garlic butter candle ….. Unreal! The service was top notch! We had reservations, and were greeted with smiles and quickly seated. Our table was cleaned and ready for each step of our experience. The atmosphere was warm, eclectic and welcoming. There was someone with his sax playing soft jazz Christmas music as well. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We will definitely be coming back (even though it’s a 2.5 hour drive) I MUST try the Lobster Bisque next time! We love good food and exceptional service ! Thank you for the experience!

Wonderful experience. Great service,, amazing food, cool ambiance. We had a family of 5, who all had steak and drinks, so it was costly for us; but with it. The filet and strips were done to perfection and were delicious. The beef tallow candle on the bread - first time for us seeing this and eating it- so good!
