Now well into our third decade in business, Eddington’s attributes the restaurant’s success to creating flavorful and creative meals consistently using the best of Huron County’s bounty.
Owner James Eddington states “we are so blessed to be living in such an agriculturally rich area of the world”.
Although the local food movement is really starting to take off, it has always been the driving force in Eddington’s kitchen. A menu that changes frequently, as each season inspires the delicacies our region has to offer.
Eddington’s occupies the original Carling homestead (built in the 1870’s). After two major renovations, an addition of the a new dining room and a serene outdoor backyard summer patio, the restaurant has a clean and modern look while maintaining its traditional and warm feel.

The food is always delicious. Loved the wild mushrooms bisque followed be the fish cakes. Finished the meal off with delicious sticky toffee pudding. It's a very friendly, quiet place to have lunch.

Since organizing this event for my brother and sister and their spouses, I and everyone in our party were so pleased we came to Langdon Hall. We are planning a return visit and maybe stay the night. Such a warm and charming atmosphere with wonderful food and service.

The cuisine at Langdon Hall starts with looking out our kitchen windows. It is inspired by the seasons, wild produce growing in abundance on the property and the bounty of our kitchen gardens. Relationships have been built with our community farmers, foragers and artisans who hold similar beliefs of providing wholesome natural products that have been prepared with care and respect.

We create dishes with purpose, embraced with a story behind each relationship and provide a taste of the terroir of Langdon Hall. All the ingredients combined, create an experience like no other, so grand, so captivating that it is impossible to forget. Delightful experience. The food was exquisite, as expected; a superb grasp of flavours and textures, highlighted by some unique ingredient inclusions. Cocktails were equally excellent — ultimately simple creations, but with wildly creative ingredients and top-tier execution. A wonderful meal from start to finish.

Food quality was outstanding and service was perfect. We had an event to go to and not too much time to linger and the staff made it possible for us to enjoy our delicious meal and get to our venue with plenty of time to spare. Nothing was diminished because of the rush!

Loved our lunch - service was excellent & so was food! I would have added some extra things for ambience ( something for table - a flower - something green , a candle , Christmas decoration. I would have appreciated different lights to set mood for dining - I felt like I was in a cafeteria- either dimmer lights or mini lights scattered in the room - other than that very happy

Amazing cocktails and some of the best service had in any restaurant lately. The food was served hot and all entrees were enjoyed. Had a bit of trouble picking a menu item. Think the menu could be expanded a little.
