Incredible food. Unfortunately a miscommunication in the kitchen as I was served the wrong dish however I was lucky enough to be given a free extra dish and still eat the wrong dish that was served. Still amazing food and they even took off some money on the bill for messing up my order.

About the restaurant
Awadh, once a princely state, is among the most ancient of Hindu regions. The enchanting history of this land of the Nawabs, kings known for their refined and extravagant lifestyles, is recognized through the richness of its cuisine. Here at Awadh, we bring you these bold flavors that balance elements of spice, intensity and acidity.

Awadh is Gaurav Anand’s latest endeavor, following Bhatti Indian Grill (Murray Hill) and Moti Mahal Delux (Upper East Side). With Awadh, we present a culmination of culinary finesse of the finest food from India’s sacred and historic land. We hope to create experiences and memories through flavors as you explore meats, vegetables, seafood, kebabs, curries and breads that will leave a lasting impression on your palate.

The food at BAZI is outstanding. We make a point of having dinner at BAZI every time we come to NY from Boston. Every dish is delicious so it is difficult to chose. This trip we had the lamb ka akulfBarraeh, Paratwala kofta, Darib ka kulfa, rice and raita. Everything was Terrific. We ate on the early side-around 6:30- and the noise level was civilized with conversation easy.

About the restaurant
Bhatti Indian Grill is an ultra-authentic north Indian restaurant in the heart of NYC that’s refined yet affordable, upscale and modern. Bhatti opened its doors in 2009 to much fan fare and accolades for the authenticity it brought to indian cuisine.

One of the city’s preeminent Indian chefs and restaurateurs, Gaurav Anand of Awadh and Moti Mahal Delux has completely revamped and renovated Bhatti just in time to celebrate its 10th anniversary this year. Perennially packed and attracting celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence and Food Network’s Duff Goldman, Bhatti became a popular dining destination due to its delicious, boldly-flavored food, especially kebabs. For its 10th anniversary, Gaurav wanted the restaurant that set him on a successful restaurant career to get a sexier new look, more elevated menu and an adventurous beverage program including an all natural wine list, befitting the next decade.

Good food with generous portions. Service is friendly and attentive. Dining room is small but not as loud as I expected. Lot of vegetarian options had cheese so check out the menu before you come if you’re vegan. I’m not vegan and enjoyed my meal.

Samier and his staff provide a wonderful experience. The Goan Indian food they prepare is delicious. Say good bye to Butter Chicken and open up your taste buds to other regional Indian cuisine. You won't be disappointed.

About the restaurant
At aRoqa, we embrace the notion Indian dishes can be served tapas-style and in small plate fashion for sharing, perfect for couples on date night or intimate parties. Chef Ajay brings an elevated approach merging Indian flavors with a global palate and creative twists throughout. Drawing upon the varied and distinct flavors of regional India, each dish is a blend of vibrant, balanced flavors beautifully composed. Inspired by its name, in India friends and loved ones come together at a “roka” ceremony and celebrate by sharing a meal.

Roqa [pronounced roh-kuh; an engagement ceremony in India, is a celebration of love and commitment.] A unique marriage of cuisine and cocktails in a chic, sophisticated setting

Teeeific twist on contemporary Indian. Mushroom app a MUST. Really can’t go wrong with any choice. Luce was an excellent server and guided us beautifully through our choices. Gulab Jaman Crème Brûlée was a winner. We will be back!

About the restaurant
Welcome to Lungi,

Lungi blends the cooking styles of South India and Sri Lanka and reflects the cultural upbringing of restaurateur and chef Albin Vincent who grew up in Kanyakumari, India, with deep roots in Sri Lanka. His culinary journey is rich with stories from his grandmother, an extraordinary cook who instilled his passion for food from a young age, teaching him the art of traditional Sri Lankan and Southern Indian dishes. Even though authentic South Asian fare has been in vogue in New York City for quite some time, it's been hard to find the bold, flavorful fare of Sri Lanka outside of Staten Island. Vincent, with Chef Vasantha Kumar from Tamil Nadu and Sous Chef Andrew Simethy from Kerala, offer both within a vibrant menu transporting diners into the homes and side street shacks of their native lands.

About the restaurant
Moti Mahal Delux offers recipes that are distinguished principally by inventive flavor combinations and the finesse of ‘Mughlai’ cuisine, a "bargain in any neighbourhood for food that provides a surprising flavor of luxury" - The New York Times, 2 Stars

The signature “Butter Chicken”, has come to be known as one of the most renowned dishes in the world. “Tandoori Chicken”, "the most eye opening item to come out of the oven" is the legacy of the Moti Mahal restaurant chain. “Daal Makhani”, or “Kaali Daal”, is "deeply, truly luxurious" and here at Moti Mahal Delux, can make you go "wobbly with happiness". Another Moti Mahal Delux signature is the Masala, a fragrant curry prepared with a choice of goat brain, crab, chicken or shrimp.

This sophisticated and upscale restaurant with a "comfortable modern dining room" and "attentive and courteous" service offers a one of a kind Mughlai fine dining experience.
