In the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, under the shadow of Cold Mountain with sweeping views of the Rocky Face Mountain, our upscale casual dining experience will soon become your favorite choice for a night out! Under the direction of Page and Sid Truesdale, Haywood County natives, they have created a menu of Southern favorites and serve them in an ambiance that is both inviting and captivating. I had the flounder sandwich and it was excellent. The room was decorated and very appealing and inviting with a fire and wonderful view of the grounds. There is a patio and plan to visit in the spring and sit outside. Everything was well done and definitely recommend. A beautiful drive through Cruso from Waynesville.

Appalachia Restaurant brings an upscale-casual experience to an intimate setting. With stunning views and a cuisine that offers an Appalachian flair, you will be immersed with the true spirit of Lake Lure.
Dinner at the restaurant begins at 4:30pm.
We bring the Appalachian heritage from the outdoors in while dining in front of the stunning 525 million year old mountains. Inside, outside, or bar room dining, you will have a gorgeous view of Lake Lure and the Appalachian mountains. Boats Slips are first come, first serve. Due to the small volume of tables, we cannot accept preferred table/view requests.
Dress Code: No swimwear or coverups, must have shoes.

The Wedge salads,Beef short ribs, Blackened NC Shrimp, and Gemelli (Duck Confit) were especially good. Excellent (but a bit pricy) mixed drinks as well. Service was outstanding.

An excellent classic steakhouse experience. My prime rib was superb, although the sides--especially the scalloped potatoes--were actually better than the meat, which could have been a bit more flavorful. My partner's grouper was excellent. There is a good selection of wines by the glass at reasonable prices. Sevice was outstanding.

Stable Café is open from 4PM to 8pm daily for guests of Biltmore Estate.

Biltmore tickets or an annual pass are required to visit all restaurants on the estate. For seasonal evening events, dinner reservations for all the guests in the party must have an evening-specific ticket or be an estate lodging guest. Dinner menu is a three-course, prefix menu.

The convenient location next to Biltmore House, friendly hospitality, and delectable food make the Stable Café a popular stop after visits to the house and gardens. The ambiance of the historic surroundings in the renovated stable complex is unmatched.
