    BEAUTIFUL setting with incredible views of the Bay and all three bridges. As for our dinner, the Bibb and Point Reyes blue cheese salad with pecans was delicious! My husband enjoyed his fiery tuna (large portion) but my sea bass had a strange flavor, almost a fermented taste, and I wasn’t crazy about the harvest vegetable medley. Regardless, it still was a beautiful evening!

    Skates IS “THE BEST” Place EVER For Dining ANYTIME of the Day! The Food is “Exquisite,” & the Variety is Unlike Any Other Restaurants - GREAT Choices & Food for “EVERY” Appetite! We Had the INCREDIBLE Calamari (Most Delicious I’ve Ever Had!) Brussel Sprout/Kale Salad was EXCELLENT & the Crab Melt Sandwich was “To Die For!” They Also have a cold Chocolaty Drink (Non Alcoholic) that was Unique & SOOO Tasty. Yes Skates “Has it ALL!” It is a “MUST” for EVERYONE! 🙏💕🕊️💕🙏

    Skates lived up to its reputation of being an excellent place to dine in all respects. Such a varied menu. with so many vegetarian and seafood choices. Our server was very sweet and attentive but when things got busy she seemed to get overwhelmed. Somehow dinner and dessert and coffee were all on the table at once with ice cream melting and coffee getting cold. Then she didn't know what to do. There was perhaps a language problem. But her sweet disposition made up for it. Beautiful. view and sunset! A lovely evening. thank You.

    I had asked for a table next to the window for the occasion of the birthday of a visiting grandniece from NYC. Both requests were taken care of beautifully. Our server was present but not obtrusive.

    I went here to celebrate an anniversary. It was beautiful, both the restaurant interior and the view outside. We got the claw chowder, crab for the table and pacific sashimi ahi poke. I love the crab a lot. They also gave us a crème brûlée with a candle on it. Overall, would recommend.

    We are from sacramento and come to the bay every few months. Skates is our magical spot! Most delish lobster bisque and fish and chips. A view that takes your breath away. Easy parking. The most casual atmosphere in a classy way, lol! Service is always fast and friendly, but never pushy or too much. Tracy helped us on this day, she has waited on us a few times - such a warm, kind and pleasant person…just made our lunch even better! Charlotte & Paula
