Smith’s Bar & Grill is nestled in Paddington, Central London, it is the first place you see when you walk under the bypass behind Paddington Station.

Known for its high ceilings and almost full-length windows, the natural light in Smith’s is just as nourishing and wholesome as the comfortable furnishings and exquisite selection of food and drink that we serve.

The venue is split into the areas:
• Main Restaurant
• Main Bar & Lounge Area
• Outdoor Terrace Canal-side


Smith’s is an ideal venue for weddings, on-location filming, major launch events, and multi-stage music and entertainment events.
The whole venue can comfortably accommodate up to 200 people for a sit-down dinner and up to 400 standing. Its proximity to Paddington Station (50 yards from the Hammersmith & City Underground entrance) makes it quick to get to for those coming from out of town.

    The food was average and the parts that should have been warm were not. The service was variable and there was a saxophone player that was very loud whilst you were eating. Its in a really good location and it might get better but I would not be rushing back.

    We’ve been celebrating birthdays at Smith’s for the past four years, and every time they deliver an amazing experience! This year was extra special as we celebrated a birthday and a proposal, and the team went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. The table was beautiful, and they even brought out a cake with a candle, which added a lovely personal touch. The food was, as always, excellent—delicious, beautifully presented, and fresh. A special thank you to Alfredo, who truly made our lunch even more memorable. He was professional, kind, and welcoming, with a warm smile that made us feel right at home. His attention to detail and dedication to making our experience perfect is so appreciated. Smith’s has earned every one of these 5 stars—highly recommend for any special occasion!

    We had a wonderful dining experience at smith’s bar and grill and would rate it 10 out of 10 stars! The food was excellent, and everything we tried tasted fantastic. Fabrizio, our waiter, provided exactly the level of service you’d expect from a high-quality restaurant—attentive, professional, and friendly. Our kids loved the food as well, and while it might not be the most child-focused restaurant, they do offer a kids’ choices, which worked perfectly for us. Overall, we highly recommend Smith’s for both the food and the service. We’ll definitely be coming back!

    We booked this place in Paddington becose of the so many good reviews and it nailed it. We ordered sirloin steak, Lamb chop and pork ribs and all the meals were really nice and good portions. We were served by Maurizio who made our night a memorable one. Great restaurant gem!

    Food, ambience and services are good. As we went there for NYE masquerade ball, we were sooooo disappointed with the countdown and "unexperienced DJ" I guess. Very poor entertainment and DJ keeps on playing boring kinda african music and came to a point that I have to request english house mix dance music so atleast people will enjoy but still he don't know how to handle the crowd! I would suggest no need for that kind of DJ, much better play dance music from youtube! I will never ever come back here for NYE again but definitely comeback for a good meal.

    This was the best dinner we’ve had in our life. Booked up here after a recommendation from a friend and WOW. Prepare to be amazed by the taste. Succulent, juicy, splendid steaks! All served by the most amezing professional in the industry, who couldn’t have offered a more welcoming service, Alfredo thank you so much for this incredible experience, keep up the good work!

    Friendly greeting, taken to table that they prepere for our anniversary. Exceptional location in Central London, very close to Kensington, friendly staff especially Maurizio, who took the time to congratulate us on 25 years, and generally chat in a very pleasant manner. The food was amazing, can definitely recommend the truffle pasta, oysters and the rib eye. And a lovely touch at the end with a tradidional tiramisu. Thank you, all.

    Outstanding service Outstanding food and outstanding location in Paddington by the canal. We booked in advance and mentioned it was a special anniversary. They had reserved a beautiful table by the window. Highly recommended. Especially the 6 course tasting menu, it was the best food ever, still thinking about that beef tartare, yummy. Will defenitely be back very soon.
